Story Role / Major Arcs
Deserted Island Test
Ryuen begins an aggressive campaign against Class D by dispatching scouts and personally threatening Tang Yu’s camp. He ambushes Tang Yu’s squad at the Central Hill mission point, but retreats after Tang Yu bluffs that their actions have been recorded and exposed. 5 7
He later meets a hooded outsider and receives an unknown package. During a cave confrontation, Tang Yu discovers that Ryuen has taken enhancement drugs and senses evidence of someone directing him from behind the scenes. 10 11 12
Ryuen ambushes the Southeast Warehouse but is delayed by Tang Yu’s Emotion Manipulation. After Class C raids Class D’s supplies, Ryuen faces Tang Yu in the final Class Competition and is defeated. Tang Yu then exposes Ryuen’s connection to Kiriyama’s illegal drug distribution. 13 15
Summer Training and Escalation
Following a suspension, Ryuen confronts Tang Yu in Akihabara with four Class C students while still using drugs. Tang Yu defeats the entire group and intimidates Ryuen with a false claim of security-camera evidence. 19 20
During the Special Training Class’s Resource Allocation Simulation, Ryuen joins Tang Yu’s Military Faction and attempts to incite a rule-breaking coup. Tang Yu’s Emotion Mirror reflects Ryuen’s own fanaticism back at him, forcing him to withdraw the proposal. 24 25
Psychological Warfare Against Class D
Ryuen launches a broader campaign against Class D, publicly declaring a “hunting season” while concealing a more targeted plan. He exploits Karuizawa’s past, works through hired thugs, and threatens to release her photos online. 32 33
Tang Yu obtains recordings and communications records tying Ryuen to the threats. Faced with evidence that could reach the Student Council, School Board, and police, Ryuen agrees to surrender the originals and backups of the photos. 34 35 36
Gymnasium Trap and Forced Alliance
Ryuen kidnaps Karuizawa and lures Tang Yu into the abandoned Gymnasium, where approximately thirty students await. His intent is not only revenge, but the public humiliation of Tang Yu and the destruction of Class D’s cohesion. 41
Ayanokoji arrives and defeats the attackers, including Ryuen. Horikita Manabu ends the incident and announces disciplinary action for the students involved. 42
Afterward, Ryuen admits that Tsukishiro has manipulated him and reveals the controller implanted in his arm. Rather than remain Tsukishiro’s test subject, he proposes cooperating with Tang Yu against him. 46
