Background

Before her capture, Xiao Wu fights alongside Tang San and the Shrek Seven Devils. During the Elite Tournament, she wears a pink combat outfit, keeps the Love-Sickness Heartbroken Red hidden against her chest, and fears that her spirit-beast identity may be exposed. Despite this, she agrees to stand with Tang San, saying that she is unafraid while he is present 43.

Yu Tianyu severs her connection to the Love-Sickness Heartbroken Red, causing the flower to fall and removing its protection over her aura. He then intervenes against Spirit Hall's attempt to claim her, declaring that she belongs to him 43 44.

Xiao Wu is a rabbit spirit beast usually depicted as a young girl with long rabbit ears and a long scorpion braid.

Personality

Before her captivity, Xiao Wu is devoted to Tang San and willing to face danger beside him, though her fear over exposure is evident 43.

Her prolonged imprisonment leaves her frightened, humiliated, and emotionally broken. Under Yu Tianyu's control, she becomes increasingly passive and obedient, eventually addressing him as “Master” 45 48 69.

Later alterations erase most traces of her former personality. As Yu Tianyu's weapon, she acts with mechanical obedience; after her soul imprint is rewritten again, she displays fanatical devotion and attempts to recruit her former friends into submission 53 156.

Elite Tournament and Exposure

Xiao Wu accompanies Tang San during the tournament despite fearing discovery. Yu Tianyu disrupts the Love-Sickness Heartbroken Red that conceals her aura, then prevents Spirit Hall from taking her by claiming her for himself 43 44.

Captivity and Tang San's Despair

Yu Tianyu keeps Xiao Wu imprisoned in a room called the “Cage,” where she wears a collar and becomes increasingly fearful and withdrawn. Her captivity becomes the central cause of Tang San's obsession with vengeance 45 46.

Yu Tianyu uses illusions and claims of Xiao Wu's submission to torment Tang San in Slaughter City. He later reveals that he possesses her Hundred-Thousand-Year Spirit Ring, deepening Tang San's despair 46.

Forced Submission

At Sea God Island, Xiao Wu—under collar-based restraint and mental suggestion—calls Yu Tianyu “Master” in front of Tang San. Yu Tianyu then orders her to stab Tang San, promising her freedom if she obeys 48 50.

In Star Dou Forest, following the deaths of Da Ming and Er Ming and Tang San's defeat, Xiao Wu finally renounces resistance and agrees to serve Yu Tianyu out of fear 69.

Weaponization and Soul Alteration

Bibi Dong remolds Xiao Wu's body at Yu Tianyu's command, raising her physical strength and Soul Power while extinguishing the light in her eyes 72.

Centuries later, Xiao Wu is described as a perfected weapon of slaughter with dragon-scaled ears and little remaining individuality. During an interplanar conflict, Tang San's shadow uses her as a conduit to strike Yu Tianyu 53 54.

Yu Tianyu later carries a fragment of Xiao Wu's soul and seeks a higher-dimensional source of life to rebuild her divine body. When confronted with Xiao Wu's soul bound within Tang San's obsession, he absorbs both into himself 55.

Later Reconstruction

In a later depiction set in Nuoding City, Xiao Wu appears lively again as the landlady of the Dragon Slayer Tavern and remains close to Yu Tianyu 57.

By the events at Shrek Academy, her soul imprint has been completely rewritten. She openly professes devotion to Yu Tianyu and encourages Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing to accept the same domination 156.
