Long Zhanye survived the Snow Empress’s final blast, discovered a path to strengthen the Body Sect, and gathered powerful allies. At Sea God Village, he accepted the Nine Trials of the Sea God, while his companions began receiving their own trials.

• Long Zhanye’s battle with the Snow Empress ended in a blast that froze half of Ming Capital, and Ju Zi declared the ruined ceremony a victory for the Sun Moon Empire.
• Long Zhanye recovered Huo Yuhao’s Soul Tool Ring, forged the Asura Evil Blade with Kong Deming, and learned to use nearby plants to locate the Yin Yang Chaos Bird and a Blue Silver Emperor.
• The Yin Yang Chaos Bird showed Long Zhanye a future in which Tang San controlled his fate, leading him to reject the Sea God’s plans and return to the Body Sect with the Blue Silver Emperor.
• Long Zhanye revealed the Body Sect’s Nine Secrets, helped Vina fuse with the Blue Silver Emperor, restored Elder Gu with Niu Tian’s arm, and healed Du Busi with an Elixir.
• Jing Hongchen joined the Body Sect with Xiao Hongchen and Meng Hongchen, and Long Zhanye led his companions through a spatial rift to Sea God Village.
• Long Zhanye activated the Sea God statue, proved his identity to Sea Cloud Douluo, and accepted the Nine Trials, whose first task required him to reach the 333rd step of the Sea God’s Light within a year.
• Long Aotian received a Top-tier Seven Trial, Ye Guyi received a Top-tier Five Trial, and Xiao Hongchen received a Top-tier One Trial as the remaining companions prepared to take theirs.

Long Zhanye and his companions advanced through their assessments, strengthened their cultivation, and gained Spirit Souls and Soul Bones from the sea beasts. Long Zhanye and Xiao Hongchen defeated four Sacred Pillar Guardians before Long Zhanye faced Sea Elephant Douluo in an unfinished battle.

• Long Zhanye trained his companions in Sea God's Light and helped Xiao Hongchen form a Gold Soul Core before carrying him through the first trial.
• Long Zhanye developed the Asura Domain, crossed the ring-shaped sea with Xiao Hongchen, and replaced a year of tidal tempering with an hour under the Demon Soul Great White Sharks' attacks.
• Long Zhanye withdrew his support from Little White and Little Gray, and the Evil Orca clan annihilated the Demon Soul Great White Shark clan.
• Long Zhanye contracted Little White and Little Gray as Spirit Souls for Chen Lü and Xiao Hongchen, refined the corpses into Spirit Bones, and strengthened his and Ye Guyi's soul rings.
• Long Zhanye and Ye Guyi advanced to ranks ninety-six and ninety-four, and Ye Guyi's Martial Soul evolved into a Ten-Winged Angel.

Long Zhanye and his companions completed the Sea God trials, but his refusal to inherit the Sea God’s position led to a battle that cost Hai Kongming her life and Medusa her divine sense. Long Zhanye gained the God of Destruction’s inheritance and set out for the Ice Sea to find a soul beast powerful enough for his first trial.

• Long Zhanye and Ye Guyi defeated Sea Elephant Douluo and the remaining Sacred Pillar guardians, while several companions cleared their own trials and received rewards.
• Long Zhanye, Long Aotian, Vina, and Xiao Hongchen endured Hai Kongming’s trial, and Long Zhanye passed after matching her power and protecting Sea God Village.
• Long Aotian killed the Nine-Jointed Ichthyosaur King in the Sea God Illusory Realm, while Long Zhanye gained the Sea God Helmet and passed his seventh trial.
• Long Zhanye refused to inherit the Sea God’s position, and he and his companions fought Hai Kongming after she tried to keep the helmet from him.
• Medusa took control of Long Zhanye’s body and killed Hai Kongming with the Soul-Absorbing Tablet, passing Long Zhanye’s Ten Trials of Sin before her divine sense vanished.
• Long Zhanye recruited the surviving Sacred Pillar Guardians and strengthened Long Zhantian with Hai Kongming’s and Sea Maiden Douluo’s Spirit Bones and Spirit Soul.
• Zhou Weiqing appeared in Long Zhanye’s Sea of Consciousness and offered him the God of Destruction’s inheritance, whose first trial required killing a soul beast over five hundred thousand years old.
• Long Zhanye learned of the Sea Princess in the Ice Sea and led his group there, where he asked a silver-white-trident-wielding Sea Soul Beast to take him to her clan chief.

Long Zhanye gathered forces and manipulated the Holy Spirit Cult as the Sun Moon Empire moved against Shrek and invaded the Dou Ling Empire. The arc left Xuan Zi gravely wounded, Huo Yuhao newly emerged to face Di Tian, and Meng Hongchen charging Tian Yang Douluo amid the battle for Ling Dou City.

• Long Zhanye won the Sea Princess clan’s trust by promising to protect it, and its chief became Vina’s Spirit Soul, strengthening her and the companions who shared the chief’s remaining energy.
• Long Zhanye took control of the Body Sect, met his gifted children, and arranged the invasion of Ling Dou City while his Scapegoat persuaded Zhongli Wu to ally with him and release the Fallen Ones.
• Long Zhanye’s Scapegoat found Yan Qingjie at Shrek, revealed their family’s past, and brought him to Dantai Jing, after which Yan Qingjie renounced Shrek and left with Huang Yue'er.
• Di Tian confronted Shrek for Huo Yuhao, then fought Xuan Zi above the city while Xuan Zi protected Yuhao’s breakthrough and risked his life by awakening Taotie’s ancient power.
• Huo Yuhao emerged and returned Di Tian’s Black Dragon Reverse Scale, but Zhongli Wu’s attack struck Xuan Zi with a blood-red spear and left him gravely wounded.
• Long Zhanye’s Scapegoat dissuaded Zhongli Wu from pursuing Xuan Zi while Di Tian remained nearby, and Zhongli Wu turned his attention to the campaign against East Star Luo.
• Xiao Hongchen and Xia Xuanchen’s forces destroyed Ling Dou City with Level 9 Fixed Soul Cannons, while Jing Hongchen occupied the ruins and secured the surrender of many Dou Ling troops.
• Tian Yang Douluo returned to Ling Dou City and attacked the occupying forces, but the Imperial Dragon and Evil Monarch regiments’ linked defenses held as Meng Hongchen revealed her strength and dove at him with both swords.
