Admissions and Student Life

Shrek ordinarily requires prospective students to complete entrance examinations before registering. However, major factions—including the Tang Sect, White Tiger Duke Mansion, and Nine Treasures Glazed Sect—possess special admission quotas. 7

Freshman classes are nominally assigned at random, though the process can be manipulated. 8 Students who pass the third-to-fourth-year advancement assessment may choose between remaining in the Martial Soul Department or transferring to the Soul Tool Department. 18

Shrek Seven Devils

The title Shrek Seven Devils originally belonged to the seven students whose actions established Shrek’s continental prestige. In the modern era, the academy selects a Reserve Team before each Continental Advanced Spirit Master Academy Soul Fighting Tournament; the chosen students undergo five years of ongoing assessments and weekly training. 62

After the Reserve Team won the tournament despite Shrek’s injured main lineup, the Sea God Pavilion awarded its members the title of Shrek Seven Devils for life. 70 102 105

• Reserve Team selection — The academy identifies Chen Yuan and other students as irreplaceable candidates for the next Shrek Seven Devils, then formally appoints seven students as the Reserve Team. 43 62
• Inspectorate mission crisis — The main team is severely injured during an Inspectorate mission, forcing the Reserve Team to represent Shrek in the Continental Advanced Spirit Master Academy Soul Fighting Tournament. 68 70
• Continental tournament — Shrek’s Reserve Team defends the academy’s championship.
