South Yuan upbringing

Su Yu grew up in South Yuan City under the care of his father, Su Long. When he was around six, Li Zhen delivered Grey Cat to him on Zhang Tao's instruction, ostensibly as a protective pet; Grey Cat later chose to remain with Su Yu of its own accord 294 295.

He received the Human Emperor System and the Time Book Replica while still young. The system initially displayed his Luck, Cultivation, and Wealth, while the book enabled him to acquire abilities through the bloodlines and innate talents it recorded 295 305. Su Long's enlistment in the Demon-Suppressing Army changed Su Yu's priorities: although he had once preferred a safer research career, he resolved to grow strong enough to enter the All-Heavens Battlefield and find his father 297 300.

Great Xia Civilization Academy

Liu Wenyan taught Su Yu willpower cultivation, wrote a will-text for him, and recommended him to Hong Tan's line 298. Upon entering Great Xia Civilization Academy, Su Yu joined the isolated Multi-Divine Script Lineage, became Hong Tan's disciple, and enrolled in Zhao Li's Forging Department as a secondary discipline 300 310.

The conflict with the Single Divine Script Faction shaped his early academy career. Su Yu publicly challenged its members, defeated Zhou Hao despite crippling an arm in the fight, and later killed Soaring cultivators on life-and-death contracts 307 308 317. He also manipulated the faction into purchasing false talent-blood-essence research, earning merit points that he used to support Chen Yong and the Multi-Divine Script Lineage 305.

Departure to Great Ming Prefecture

After the Single Divine Script Faction colluded with the Myriad Races Cult at Starfall Mountain, Su Yu killed Zhou Pingsheng and publicly released evidence of the conspiracy. Zhu Tiandao then brought him to Great Ming Prefecture, where Su Yu purchased the former Multi-Divine Script research institute and rebuilt his research base 319.

In Great Ming, he released the seventy-two-divine-aperture Primordial Spirit Script Art to the Human Realm, turning a closely held cultivation advantage into public knowledge. The decision expanded his influence but also made him a larger target for hostile factions and the Myriad Races Cult 324.

Rise on the All-Heavens Battlefield

Su Yu entered the All-Heavens Battlefield under the identity of Cui Lang, gaining recognition as a gifted weapon forger before his identity was exposed. He entered the Heaven Hunt Ranking at tenth place and later rose to first on the Heavenly List after killing a fifth-level Sunmoon cultivator 329 332 336.

He became lord of Heaven Destroyer Ancient City, used its rules and stone sculpture to turn pursuers against one another, and developed the city into a power base. Zhang Tao and Li Zhen later explained the strategic value of the ancient cities and agreed to cooperate with him 343.

Human Emperor and Yu Emperor

Su Yu's Emperor divine character evolved into an imperial divine character and subdued the Time Book within his sea of will. The Human Emperor System subsequently upgraded, allowing him to exchange Luck for time images of past events 323.

During Xia Longwu's Dao certification, Su Yu produced the Human Emperor Seal, declared himself Human Emperor, and secured the support of human Invincibles and ancient clans 361. His later coronation as the Yu Emperor united the Human Realm's Luck, formed a Heavenly Weapon crown, and marked his position as humanity's common sovereign 367.

Conquest and higher-realm campaigns

As Yu Emperor, Su Yu unified the Undead Realm, suppressed or recruited ancient marquises, sealed the lower realms of the three great races, and began building the Yu Emperor Palace 385 368. He forged a book-shaped core weapon intended to contain hundreds of spatial pages and eventually realize his ambition of “one page, one world” 368 369.

He expanded his influence into the upper realm by securing alliances with the Iron Eater Clan, Spatial Ancient Beast Clan, and Fate Clan, while eliminating or subduing hostile powers 398 409. Personality

Su Yu began as a cautious student who openly admitted to fearing death and sought a safe research career. His father's return to the battlefield forced him to abandon that plan; from then on, he treated strength as the only reliable protection for himself and those close to him 297 316.

He is exceptionally calculating with resources, information, and reputation. He staged research fraud to extract merit points from enemies, used public cultivation methods to build influence, and learned from Niu Baidao that fame could shift public judgment and political support 305 322 324.

Su Yu is also ruthless once he defines someone as an enemy. He kills life-and-death opponents decisively, refuses to surrender spoils gained in battle, and frequently subdues stronger factions through overwhelming force rather than negotiation 317 327 400.
