• Lin Yuzhen and Ning Chen fought off the Ji Family, then left Phoenix Cry City after Lin Yuzhen rejected Kylin Pavilion’s marriage alliance and escaped its attack.
• Ning Chen learned that Murong’s poison was incurable, stayed with her through her final days, and joined Ji Yuechu’s campaign against the Nether Hall after she died.
• Ning Chen and Ji Yuechu recovered most of Ji Yu Qing’s divine bloodline from Di Mingtian, and Ning Chen refused Ji Yuechu’s demand that he marry Yu Qing.
• Ning Chen confronted Yue Zhinv, learned Hua Zhongdie was safe, and restored his demonic body by absorbing the essence of the demons trapped in Thousand Demon Cave.

Ning Chen entered the Boundless Sword Feast to restore his broken swords and won first place, but the Sword Pavilion’s betrayal and Jing Wuxia’s death sparked a battle with Mei Wuhen. The Dragon Gate and Sun-Moon Zhaozhao trapped Ning Chen’s two bodies, until Lin Yuzhen returned to fight beside them and a Plain-clothed Figure appeared.

• Ning Chen and Lin Yuzhen entered Sword Pavilion, where Ning Chen memorized the Sword Canon and learned that winning the feast could earn him help repairing his swords.
• Lin Yuzhen fought Shui Wuyue in the Sword Domain over Phoenix Cry, and Ning Chen intervened as the Dragon Gate descended to suppress him.
• Ning Chen advanced through the sword contest, protected Lin Yuzhen from Mu Changge, and defeated the White Feather Sword God before beating Shui Wuyue to claim first place.
• Mei Wuhen agreed to repair Ning Chen’s Star Soul Sword, but Shui Wuyue refused to repair the Destiny Sword and Mei Wuhen ordered her to reclaim Phoenix Cry.
• Jing Wuxia died saving Shui Wuyue from Lin Yuzhen, while Ning Chen used his Phoenix Blood to temper Star Soul into a heaven-grade sword.
• Ning Chen fought Mei Wuhen to protect Shui Wuyue, and Mei Wuhen fled to the Sword Pavilion’s highest level before collapsing the pavilion and summoning Sun-Moon Zhaozhao.

Ning Chen destroyed Kylin Pavilion and survived the Kylin Old Ancestor’s final attack before setting out to help Luo Xingchen and prepare for the coming chaos. In Soulfall Abyss, an illusion of Ghost Maiden nearly killed him, but Luo Xingchen rescued him, and Ning Chen forged a powerful bow while continuing to temper Immortal-Slaying Sword.

• Ning Chen destroyed Kylin Pavilion, killed its Master and Old Ancestor, and survived Yue Zhinv’s challenge before retreating with Lin Yuzhen.
• Ning Chen urged Lin Yuzhen to ally with the Ji Clan, then left to gather friends as the Moon Demon Clan attacked the Moon Worshipper Ancient Land.
• Ning Chen met Luo Xingchen in Sky-Transcending Sacred City and arranged to obtain the Sickness King Stone from Soulfall Abyss in exchange for Luo Xingchen’s release and the Sacred Mark Iron.
• Ning Chen searched Soulfall Abyss, found a Sickness King Stone, and descended into the Underworld Netherworld as Luo Xingchen entered the abyss after him.
• Ning Chen reunited with Ghost Maiden at Ghost Gate Pass, but an illusionary woman stabbed him through the heart before revealing herself as a deadly threat.
• Luo Xingchen carried the gravely injured Ning Chen out of the collapsing cave, and the Tian Yue City Lord brought them to the Holy Pool for treatment.
• Ning Chen recovered, gave the Tian Yue City Lord half the Sickness King Stone, and accepted the Sacred Mark Iron while helping Luo Xingchen through his crisis.
• Ning Chen reforged Luo Xingchen’s Star Scar Bow, split its tribulation lightning with the Invisible Sword, and continued tempering Immortal-Slaying Sword as the stone’s radiance surged skyward.

The Demon Palace invaded the Buddhist Nation, while Ning Chen gathered the Underworld and other allies to resist it. The fighting left Jun Wentian gravely injured and Xia Ziyi’s life in danger as Ning Chen prepared for the next stage of the conflict.

• Ning Chen and Luo Xingchen departed after Ning Chen reforged his sword as the King of Sickness, while Xie Tiance launched the Demon Palace’s campaign across the world.
• Yue Zhinv and a blue-clad woman killed the Human Buddha Lord at Windless City, and Bai Wangran later defeated the Earth Buddha Lord as the Demon Palace advanced on Buddha Mountain.
• Ning Chen relocated Kylin Continent with the Four Directions Divine Pagoda, then reunited with the Yamas and planned covert attacks against the Demon Palace’s Protectors.
• Jun Wentian revealed himself as the First Demon Palace Protector after devouring Lou Wanggu, while Ning Chen recognized Hua Zhongdie as his former Senior Sister and was wounded fighting her and Yue Zhinv.
• Ning Chen recovered in the Underworld, completed the Ten Halls with his allies, and formally declared war on the Demon Palace through the Yama Token.
• The Yamas fought the Demon Palace at Buddha Mountain, where the Red-robed Yama wagered for Avici Hell Palace and forced Xie Tiance to withdraw his troops for one hundred days.
• Jun Wentian fought the Red-robed Yama and the Black-robed King after the withdrawal, then used his third eye to devastate Buddha Mountain before collapsing from his injuries.
• Ning Chen treated Xia Ziyi with the Scroll of Life but could only suppress the foreign power threatening his life.
