Deep within the Black Forest, a ferocious beast as tall as a small mountain roared, its savage might shaking heaven and earth.
Ahead, a tiny human girl stood there, her life like a candle flame in the wind, liable to be snuffed out at any moment.
Sensing the threat from afar, demonic fire surged around the beast, about to devour the human girl before it.
At that moment, a phoenix cry split the heavens in the distance. A fiery phoenix streaked past and, at the most perilous instant, rammed the beast aside with its body.
The two colossal creatures collided. At once, trees throughout the Black Forest toppled, igniting with black demonic flames.
Within the phoenix fire, Ning Chen appeared. The human sword emerged in his hand, and with one stroke, he blocked the rampaging beast.
Behind him, A'man looked at the man before her, her eyes filled with confusion.
"A'man, hide behind me. I'll take you out of here."
Chaos True Essence surged around Ning Chen, sheltering A'man within it.
