The End of the War

In the icy hell, the only patch of pure land, Phoenix Essence and demonic energy surged around Marquis of Knowing Fate. Not a trace of human emotion remained in his cold eyes.

"You are... a demon!" Chao Tianxi said, staring at the person before her in shock.

"What I am, does it matter? Tianfu Star Venerable, you have lost," Ning Chen said coldly.

"The victor becomes king, the loser becomes bandit. Marquis of Knowing Fate, you should not have spared my life." Chao Tianxi coughed violently several times, blood continuously spilling from the corners of her lips as she spoke weakly.

Seeing the surrounding space gradually stabilize, Ning Chen withdrew his aura and said calmly, "I do not wish to face a crazed Heavenly Minister. If you die, this war will only become even more brutal. A living Tianfu Star Venerable is more valuable."

"You wish to use me to threaten Heavenly Minister?" Chao Tianxi asked.

"Threaten? You underestimate Knowing Fate too much. Star Venerable, it is time to reveal why Tianfu began this war. There is no longer any meaning in concealing it," Ning Chen said indifferently.

"For survival."

A trace of weariness flashed through Chao Tianxi's eyes as she slowly said, "Before long, Tianfu Star will be destroyed. Marquis of Knowing Fate, regardless of my fate, this war will not stop. Even if Tianfu loses its Star Venerable, it still has the Heavenly Minister. Its strength remains no weaker than the Five Domains Alliance, whose hearts are not united. My realm will not lose, and it cannot lose."
