Streaks of light cut across the starry sky, crossing the Milky Way as they swept toward the distant reaches of space.
For several days and nights, Qing Ling and the others traveled without pause, rushing toward another starfield.
Not long after the four left, Yin Gui red mist gathered in the void. A woman capable of bewitching all living beings gazed in the direction they had gone, took a lotus-like step, and vanished.
At the edge of the Red Luan Starfield, a colossal star system appeared in the distance, boundless and vast, with no end visible at a glance.
"Spirit Void, we've finally arrived."
Qing Ling and the others stopped, looking toward the distant starfield as she spoke in a grave voice.
"You may have arrived, but unfortunately, you won't be getting through."
Before the words faded, space and time twisted in the starry sky. A graceful figure wreathed in red mist stepped out, her decadent aura stirring the heavens, oppressive and heavy enough to leave one breathless.
"Sect Master!"
Murong's body trembled when she saw the newcomer, shock filling her face.
"Dan Ji."
The Yin Gui Sect Master looked toward the woman beside her and said indifferently, "I truly did not expect that you would dare betray the Yin Gui Sect."
"Yin'er, take your master and Murong and leave."
Qing Ling stepped forward to block the way, her expression solemn.
"Sister Qing Ling."
Yin'er looked anxious and refused to leave.
"Go!"
Anger appeared on Qing Ling's face. "You'll be no help if you stay here. Do you want your master to come to harm too?!"
Yin'er's body shook at those words. A moment later, she suppressed the turmoil in her heart, swept up the two beside her, and sped away.
