It was still a weightless world steeped in darkness.

However, compared to other regions that were likewise dark vacuums, the scene here was far livelier.

For here stood two Apex Hunters and two Apostles at once.

Yet although it was a two-on-two confrontation, one of the Apex Hunters, Evelyn, was currently floating steadily with her body reclined. One hand held a point of light as a candle flame, while the other held a book for her to read in peace. Her expression and posture were so calm and unruffled that there was not the slightest sign of tension from being in the midst of a deadly battle.

Meanwhile, in the vast dark world before the Constraint Hunter, two enormous figures were locked in fierce combat.

One of the shadows was a gigantic oval fleshball, its body measuring several thousand meters across. Its surface was covered in bizarre vein-like patterns resembling a jungle. At a glance, it looked like a grotesque entity formed from countless palms and soles fitted and forcibly pieced together like a puzzle.

Moreover, a huge, bizarre human face grew from each of the fleshball's top and bottom.

The one on top was a weeping face, lined with wrinkles of sorrow.

The one below was a smiling face, brimming with creases of joy.

They were the Twin Apostles with two minds in one body—"Mourning" and "Laughing Extinction."

"Mourning's" Apostle Authority was to unleash, once every ten seconds, a vast crying assault capable of sweeping across the entire dark world. Not only was it immensely powerful, but those struck by it had nowhere to hide and could only withstand it head-on.

"Laughing Extinction's" Apostle Authority was to sustain a defensive field through endless laughter, enclosing itself within from every direction and thereby reflecting all external attacks back in full.
