Humanity, Primal Secret Region.
As one of the four major secret regions of the Virtual Universe Company and its most core territory, the Primal Secret Region is home to countless powerhouses and serves as the training ground for generation after generation of human geniuses.
Wuchen Spacetime is the residence for core members of the Virtual Universe Company stationed in the Primal Secret Region. Its core is composed of 136 Wuchen planets, which can simulate the operation of laws to a certain extent and defend against the incursions of outsiders.
Anyone attempting to attack without authorization will be met with resistance from this spacetime; even a Universe Kingdom Lord would find it incredibly difficult to force their way in.
Furthermore, this Primal Secret Region houses the residences of many powerful figures from the Virtual Universe Company, and a clone of the Chaos City Lord is stationed here. Should an enemy attack occur, several Universe Venerables, Universe Overlords, or even the Chaos City Lord himself would descend in short order.
In the past, there were indeed incidents where alien Universe Venerables attempted to infiltrate Wuchen Spacetime to assassinate geniuses, but those attempts ended with the alien Venerables becoming soul slaves to humanity.
It can be said that the entire defense system of Wuchen Spacetime is absolutely impregnable.
The entire Wuchen Spacetime contains only 113 manors: 100 belong to World Lord level members, 10 to Domain Lord level members, and the final 3 to Universe level members.
Manor No. 101 is the exclusive residence of Qin Cang.
Seven thousand years ago, Qin Cang transmigrated into a medium-sized universe kingdom after being hit by a truck, becoming a prince. After a series of events, he realized he had transmigrated into the world of Swallowed Star, and specifically, into a member of the Yan God Clan—the first experimental species created by the God King of Jin, Mountain Sitting Guest.
As an experiment of Mountain Sitting Guest, the Yan God Clan possesses excellent talent in terms of their divine bodies, even holding the talent for an Infinite Divine Body.
However, while the advantages are obvious, the disadvantages are equally glaring: their talent for soul and temperament is extremely mediocre. In short, their muscles control their brains.
To make matters worse, the strongest of the Yan God Clan, Yan Emperor, as the leader of the race, eventually turned against humanity over the theft of a treasure. When humanity merely wanted to punish him, he led the entire Yan God Clan to break away from humanity without hesitation.
Of course, with the strength of Yan Emperor, even after leaving humanity, he was capable of occupying a territory in the vast Primal Universe to multiply and thrive, giving the Yan God Clan a chance to produce new powerhouses.
But that fool, Yan Emperor, actually took his people to a Universe Secret Region to multiply.
One must know that beings born in a Universe Secret Region are inherently flawed. Aside from those extremely rare special lifeforms, no ordinary being born in a secret region has ever become a Universe Master, and even the number of Universe Venerables is negligible.
It can be said that Yan Emperor's move completely extinguished the hope of the Yan God Clan ever producing powerhouses again.
Subsequently, Mountain Sitting Guest shifted his focus entirely to the Earth lineage.
After all, Yan Emperor's actions had effectively cut off the path for the Yan God Clan.
Mountain Sitting Guest trained disciples to find a helper who could fight alongside him, yet Yan Emperor was willing to backstab his own race over a single treasure. Perhaps he dared not defy Mountain Sitting Guest at the time due to the latter's strength, but if he had eventually grown to the same level as Mountain Sitting Guest, it is highly probable that backstabbing him would have been just as easy.
Although Mountain Sitting Guest appeared indifferent to his disciple's actions on the surface, deep down, who could truly know his thoughts?
The moment Qin Cang learned he had transmigrated into a member of the Yan God Clan, he was devastated; after all, this race had terrible soul talent. But perhaps due to the transmigration, Qin Cang was fundamentally different from other members of the Yan God Clan.
Not only was his soul exceptionally robust, but his talent for laws was also outstanding.
Just three hundred years after beginning his cultivation, he participated in the Universe Peak Genius Competition held by the Virtual Universe Company and, with strength that left all others in the dust, forcefully secured first place.
However, the only thing Qin Cang regretted was failing to become a disciple of a Universe Master.
Although he did not become a disciple of a Universe Master, he was taken in by an extremely ancient and powerful Universe Overlord.
That Universe Overlord, known as Demon Wing Venerable, was one of the most ancient and powerful existences of the Winged Human Race, a branch of humanity. While he could not compare to those Universe Masters, he was far more powerful and wealthy than the vast majority of Universe Venerables.
This brought a sense of balance to Qin Cang, and he eventually accepted his teacher. After all, not every genius who appears once every ten million epochs can become a disciple of a Universe Master; most end up apprenticing under Universe Venerables.
For a Universe Master to take on a disciple, appearing once every ten million epochs is merely the minimum requirement; most of the time, it also depends on the direction of cultivation, and even personal affinity.
Demon Wing Venerable was ancient and powerful, and before this, he had only taken five disciples. Two were at the Venerable level, one was a peak King, and one was an invincible King. The last one had been assassinated by an alien, leaving no chance for resurrection, and had perished completely. Because of this, Demon Wing Venerable had not taken on any disciples for a long time.
It was not until Qin Cang appeared that he felt the urge to take on a disciple once more.
After Qin Cang became a disciple of Demon Wing Venerable, he set goals for each stage of his cultivation under his teacher's guidance: to pass the Sky Mountain, which tests one's comprehension of laws, and he had to pass the Sky Mountain for every stage.
Ultimately, it took Qin Cang nearly two thousand years to forcefully pass the Universe level Sky Mountain, after which he advanced to the Domain Lord level.
When he was sent out as a Domain Lord, he returned to his birthplace, the Nine Yan Universe Kingdom, to serve as an Inspector. After another five thousand-plus years of bitter cultivation, he finally gained the confidence to clear the sixteenth level of the Nine Universes Sky Bridge. Only then did he apply to end his assignment and return to his manor in the Primal Secret Region, where he finally cleared the sixteenth level of the Sky Bridge a short time ago.
And today, he chose to challenge the highest standard the Virtual Universe Company uses to evaluate geniuses, aside from the Sky Bridge—the Sky Mountain.
The Domain Lord level Sky Mountain generally requires the strength to clear the sixteenth level of the Sky Bridge to be conquered.
Moreover, unlike the Sky Bridge, which only tests comprehension of laws, the Sky Mountain also places great emphasis on actual combat.
At the foot, middle, and summit of the Sky Mountain, there are three gatekeepers each: a Fighter, a Spirit Reader Controller, and an Illusionist.
The challenger must withstand the combined assault of all three. While each might be slightly weaker than the challenger individually, their combined combat power is on an entirely different level.
Of course, more importantly, there are additional special rewards for clearing the Sky Mountain.
Clearing the Universe level Primal Sky Mountain rewards one hundred million points, the Domain Lord level rewards three billion, and the World Lord level rewards a staggering one hundred billion points!
In addition to the rewards given by the company, Demon Wing Venerable would wave his hand and provide Qin Cang with extra rewards for every Sky Mountain he cleared.
Furthermore, the richness of these rewards far exceeded those of the company, and many were treasures that were impossible to find elsewhere!
It was precisely for this reason that Qin Cang was willing to spend so much time at the Universe and Domain Lord levels.
He did it for the treasures held by his teacher, Demon Wing Venerable.
After all, Demon Wing Venerable was a contemporary of the Original Ancestor, though his potential had been exhausted, preventing him from advancing further.
But with his accumulation over countless years, while his wealth could not compare to those Universe Masters, he was definitely among the very top tier within the Venerable realm.
