Background / History

Lin Jin grew up in the Maple Forest Orphanage and retains a strong sense of responsibility toward it. After becoming Mu Chen's disciple, his first concern is securing continued funding for the orphanage rather than his own new resources. He later describes his childhood as difficult. 6 42

At Level 10, Lin Jin deliberately seeks out the East Sea Blacksmith Association to learn forging rather than ask Mu Chen for charity. His Crimson Lotus purifies Deep Silver through calcination, convincing Mu Chen—an Eight-Star Saint Artisan and the association's East Sea president—to accept him as a disciple. 4 6
