Toying with Them

"You certainly came well-prepared."

Seeing her speed up and slip inside in an instant, Rinya's eyes flickered, though he didn't rush to follow.

From just a moment ago, he could tell that the girl wasn't hypnotized; on the contrary, her self-awareness was perfectly clear.

In such a state, why would a girl who, by all accounts, would never do such a thing, act this way?

And who could be the one making her do it?

Rinya seemed to have the answer without even needing to think.

After all, having a free tool like Sakura meant she had indirectly helped him solve the surveillance problem and acted as a scout to test the waters.

For such a generous gift, he would have to thank her on behalf of the two men behind him.

Rinya looked at the two figures strolling toward him from afar, chuckled, and leaped into the Security Department.

Seeing that the guards on duty had all fallen asleep on the floor, Rinya couldn't help but marvel.

For a girl with zero combat skills to get in alone and pull this off without making a sound—that alone made him feel that this girl with potential was worth recruiting.

Of course, now wasn't the time to think about that. Following the layout, Rinya quickly found the cell where Chairman Sakayanagi was being held.

"Ever since our last deal, this counts as our second official meeting, right?"

"Yeah, let's get out of here first."

"I still want to leave some time to play with them."

Seeing that the other party didn't want to talk much, Sakayanagi wasn't offended, though he was surprised at how easily Rinya had reached him.

After all, this was the heart of the Security Department, not to mention the twenty-four-hour guards, the pervasive surveillance, and high-tech equipment like infrared sensors.

He truly couldn't fathom what method Rinya had used to bypass the school's equipment and personnel without his own intervention.

Seeming to sense the extreme curiosity on the man's face, Rinya smiled. After getting him to a safe place, he left him with a meaningful remark before departing: "The people who want to kill you did the heavy lifting."

Hearing this, Sakayanagi fell into deep thought. Watching the direction in which Rinya disappeared, he couldn't help but laugh out loud: "Rinya, you really make me like you more and more. Haha!"

On the other side, Rinya, who had rushed back at full speed, saw the two guys about to walk in. With a playful look on his face, he quietly slipped back into the Security Department.

He then used his internal energy to jolt every sleeping guard awake, leaving a trace of lingering energy on each of them.

Seeing that things were set, he clapped his hands and quietly vanished into the darkness.

"Ugh, what just happened?" A guard who had just woken up clutched his head, looking dazed.

"Ring-ring-ring!"

"Oh no, there must be intruders!"

It wasn't until an experienced guard pulled the alarm and shouted that the dozen or so men finally realized what was happening.

They immediately grabbed their stun batons and began searching the area.

At that very moment, awkwardly enough, the two assassins had just walked in.

And so, the two sides stared at each other, the scene falling into a sudden, heavy silence.

"Uh, who are you people!"

"To think you'd dare break into the Security Department in the middle of the night."

Looking at two completely unfamiliar faces, the group of staff on duty immediately suspected them of the incident that had just occurred and couldn't help but shout in anger.

"Was it you who put us to sleep just now!"

Hearing this, the two men were puzzled as to how these people had woken up so quickly.

However, upon hearing a bunch of small fry daring to yell at them, especially the man with the brown ponytail who had been holding back his temper, he could no longer restrain himself.

Shifting his figure with a few quick strides, he didn't give the others any chance to react before grabbing one person by the neck with each hand and sneering, "Hmph! I'm already in a foul mood, and you bunch of small fry are just what I need to blow off some steam."

Although the other man didn't want to waste time with them, seeing the others charging at them with electric batons, he had no choice but to bring out his poison weapons to retaliate.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Yet, following a series of loud, continuous explosions, the figures of the two men were, in the next second, perfectly synchronized as they were both knocked out the door.

"Pfft~" Bright red blood gushed from their mouths.

The two men opened their eyes wide, unable to believe that what had just happened was real even now.

They had actually been beaten to this state by the weak, struggling punches and strikes of those small fry...
