"Our original plan was to use the materials they gave us to build missiles to create a suit of iron armor, and then use the explosives from the missiles to blast our way out."
Tony sat at the table, explaining their original plan to Fang Bie.
"I'm still curious. According to what you said, you were one of the biggest arms dealers in that world, so how did you get captured by people in such a remote area?" Fang Bie asked. His tone was a bit strange, as if he were implying something.
Tony had been busy either crafting the iron armor or exploring this new world for the past few days. Only now, prompted by Fang Bie's question, did he catch a hint of something else.
"You mean... someone provided them with information? Otherwise, how would they have known my whereabouts?" Tony was incredibly sharp; he suddenly realized the truth.
"I don't know much about your world. I'm just asking a question." Fang Bie shook his head. He only wanted to plant a seed in the other man's mind so he wouldn't suffer a sudden, major setback like in the original story.
As long as Tony was mindful, given his intelligence and influence, he would surely be able to find the person who wanted him dead.
"Fine, let's not talk about that for now. I plan for us to move out tomorrow morning. Time here seems to be paused compared to our side; when we arrived in this world, time over there hadn't been consumed at all."
Tony glanced at Yinsen, who was still busy outside, trying to craft all sorts of strange items using wood, and shook his head helplessly before continuing.
"To prevent the worst-case scenario, we must make preparations for both possibilities."
Fang Bie listened to him very quietly. He wasn't particularly good at these kinds of situations, so naturally, he didn't want to interrupt.
Although Tony had been thrown into this situation, as a true arms contractor, he wouldn't have achieved his current success without a keen insight into warfare.
After thinking for a while, he made detailed arrangements for their plan tomorrow.
"If our prediction is correct and the time is still the same as yesterday, then the people monitoring us should still be eating. We will have five minutes to get out from under the cameras."
Tony dipped his hand in water and drew a map on the table, marking a surveillance camera in the top-left and top-right corners of the room, both connected to the terrorists' monitoring room.
"After we leave, we'll immediately find a place to hide and release the water flow." He looked back at Fang Bie. "Fang, if you can still punch holes in the walls, try to release the water from as high as possible. The impact force from the height difference can help us blast open the iron gate at the entrance!"
"Yinsen said the place where you were captured is in a large canyon. If the plan goes smoothly, these bandits should be washed directly into the canyon, and we'll have a chance to run out!" Fang Bie followed his line of thought.
"Yes, that's the best-case scenario. They could never imagine we would have such a method, so they won't have a way to counter it. Once they are washed away by the water, we will have enough time to leave this place and head for the desert!"
Tony sounded very confident. "As long as I can reach the civilized world, I have countless ways to wipe out these terrorists!"
"But what if time has already passed, or they have a group of people standing on the high ground at the entrance?" Fang Bie asked. "Your iron armor isn't finished yet. If they really are guarding the door with guns as you said before, we might be riddled with bullets the moment we walk out!"
"This..." Tony was a very confident person, otherwise he wouldn't have trusted his own judgment so much, but these words did give him a warning about the crisis.
If that situation really occurred, even if they walked out of the cave safely, they wouldn't have the life left to walk out of the desert.
"But it's been so long, and no one has come here from that side, so perhaps they haven't discovered it..." Fang Bie added, "But we'd better be careful. If we go out the front door and they have a group of people guarding the high cliffs at the entrance, wouldn't we be sitting ducks?"
"You mean... you have a solution?" Tony's reaction speed was not slow. Seeing Fang Bie's worried expression, yet sensing no urgency, he realized this point as well.
"Well..." Fang Bie reached out and handed over a helmet. It was made from some iron ingots he had mined extra the day before, and it was the second-highest defensive helmet in the original MC game.
Unlike the shallow hat in the game, this helmet was more in line with the concept of a real helmet.
It was somewhat similar to ancient full-body armor; the entire face, except for two holes for the eyes, was covered in iron plating, looking incredibly sturdy.
Tony touched the helmet with his hand and flicked it lightly. He had a definition in his mind and said, "A helmet made of wrought iron with a bit of carbon content. Did you make this too?"
"Of course. We just need to mine some iron ore, and we can craft a full set of armor with a helmet. What do you think?" Fang Bie asked.
"This helmet is of better quality than the iron sheets I hammered out by hand. At the very least, ordinary rifle bullets can't penetrate it. If the three of us wear this iron armor, as long as we don't take a direct, large-scale hit from a rocket, we won't be injured at all!"
Tony suddenly thought of something. "Does this gear have shock-absorbing lining? If we aren't killed by external attacks but are shaken to death by the transmitted force, that would be too unjust!"
Fang Bie shook his head. "Don't worry about that. Before this set of gear is completely destroyed, 80% of the damage you receive will be blocked by it. As long as the gear isn't truly destroyed, your life will not be in danger!"
"It really is a divine artifact!" Tony exclaimed. "So where can I buy it? Don't worry, I'm not short on money!"
As if performing a magic trick, Fang Bie took a Stone Pickaxe out of his inventory. "I don't want your money. Want to get gear like this? Come mining with me, Tony!"
Fang Bie had long wanted to find a way to use these two laborers. Now that he had finally found the opportunity, how could he not take advantage of it?
"We only have one day, and I hope we can mine enough ore to arm the three of us!" Fang Bie swung his pickaxe at a pit behind the house, and the two people behind him followed suit.
The mining activity had begun!
