Background

Huo Yuhao grew up in the Duke White Tiger's Mansion as the Duke's son, but he and his mother were mistreated by servants acting to please the Duchess. Their allowance was embezzled, his mother endured humiliation and violence, and she worked exhausting low-paid jobs to support him. 1

After his mother's death, Huo Yuhao infiltrated the mansion to avenge her. He killed the guard commander and the Duchess, escaped despite a seven-ring Soul Saint's intervention, and shattered the mansion's plaque as he left, symbolically severing his ties to the White Tiger Family. 1

His escape left him badly injured and hunted, forcing him into the Star Dou Great Forest. There he survived by hunting Spirit Beasts, improved his combat experience and physique, and began experimenting with using mental power to accelerate Soul Power cultivation. 2

Bei Bei and Tang Ya later brought him into the Tang Sect's orbit, taught him Tang Sect secret techniques, and helped him pursue admission to Shrek Academy. 2 3
