It was another sunny morning. Even though December had arrived, California's sunshine still poured warmly into the room.

Irene stretched luxuriously beneath the soft covers. Her shoulders and neck, which had stayed hunched over a keyboard for hours the night before, ached faintly. "I'll have to find a chance to get Ophelia to give me a massage," she muttered, rubbing her shoulders.

Just then, the phone on her bedside table rang sharply and urgently. Irene reached over to answer it, and heard Adelaide Griffin, an executive at Fox Searchlight Pictures, on the other end.

"Hi, good morning, Adelaide. Waking up to your voice means today's going to be a lucky day." Irene got to her feet, still holding the phone.

"Good morning, my director Irene." Adelaide sounded amused. "I do have good news, and I was so excited I had to call you right away. We've successfully secured the rights to The Italian Job. Now it's up to you. How's the script coming along?"

Irene was thrilled. "Really? That's wonderful! Don't worry, I've basically finished the script. I just need to do a little more research and scout a few locations. I promise I'll get you the complete script this week!"

After hanging up, Irene let out an excited squeal, then jumped onto the big bed and bounced a few times, cheering herself on.

With the rights secured, the project could officially get underway. She quickly leaped out of bed and found the map of Los Angeles she'd used the night before on her vanity.
