Arc 3The Whirlpool Shore Mission

Akaseki, Ranwu, and Minato rescued the Land of Waves merchants and fought Kirigakure shinobi searching for Bloodthirsty Star Iron in the Land of Whirlpools. The mission ended with Team 7 returning to Konoha, Akaseki receiving treatment for his injured eye, and Ranwu asking Tsunade to teach her medical ninjutsu.

  • Akaseki tested Wild Survivors, signed a Summoning Contract with Tanuki Treasure, and later completed its nine-mask set as Minato and Ranwu discovered Kirigakure shinobi had landed near the Land of Whirlpools.
  • Akaseki, Ranwu, and Minato tracked the enemy to a sealed mine, where Akaseki and Ranwu entered using Tanuki Treasure while Minato watched from outside.
  • Akaseki and Ranwu rescued the merchants and fought the Kirigakure squad, using genjutsu, traps, and Akaseki’s Great Dragon Fire Technique before Kaguya Isuke attacked and injured Akaseki’s left eye.
  • Ranwu struck Isuke with the Strength of a Hundred, and Akaseki recovered while the team regrouped and learned that Minato had escaped Jinin Akebino and the enemy still had fighters in the area.
  • Akaseki and his companions pursued Isuke and Shiokawa, where Akaseki’s explosive trap badly injured Isuke and Ranwu restrained her as Akaseki placed Shiokawa under genjutsu.
  • Jiraiya and Torifu Akimichi arrived to stop Akebino, and Akaseki presented Meizawa’s corpse before Kirigakure took its ninja tools and the bloodthirsty star iron.
  • Inoichi explained the divisions within the Land of Water and Karatachi Genso’s support for coexistence between commoner and clan ninja, while Jiraiya and Torifu prepared to return to Konoha.
  • The Third raised Team 7’s mission to A-rank, Tsunade treated Akaseki’s damaged eye and ordered him not to use his Sharingan for three days, and Ranwu asked her to teach medical ninjutsu.
Chapters 51–76 Vol. 1 Read

Ch. 51Urgency

Akaseki struggled through a looping short-drama immersion before entering the Wild Survivors trial, where he discovered that automatically attacking ninja tools could be strengthened with upgrades. After learning the game’s mechanics, he left to practice Genjutsu with Ranwu.

  • Akaseki watched Shen Qingqing repeatedly refuse to look in the morgue, so the short drama never delivered its intended line before the immersion ended.
  • Akaseki entered the Wild Survivors trial and found that most of his ninjutsu and close combat were ineffective, while his shuriken attacked enemies automatically using his Chakra.
  • Akaseki leveled up, chose a kunai and later upgraded it, then added more weapons as he learned how their automatic attacks worked.
  • Akaseki discovered that he could carry up to six types of ninja tools and strengthened their abilities through upgrades, becoming convinced that their manipulation was worth learning.
  • Akaseki survived longer in repeated attempts as he practiced using Chakra to accelerate kunai and create shuriken clones.
  • Akaseki ended the trial and met Ranwu to practice Genjutsu while Team 7 remained busy despite their suspended first B-rank mission.

Ch. 52The Art of Spiritual Communication

Akaseki signed a Summoning Contract with the recovering Little Tanuki Beast, then named it Tanuki Treasure before it fell asleep again. He finished an immersive melodrama and received a two-hour game coupon, which he saved for later as he prepared to look around.

  • Akaseki signed a one-on-one Summoning Contract with the Little Tanuki Beast after Ranwu suggested it wanted a high-five.
  • Akaseki and Ranwu argued over whether Ninshu originally spread Chakra to connect people or to help them fight and protect companions.
  • Akaseki used mutual understanding to name the Little Tanuki Beast Tanuki Treasure, but it fell asleep before dinner.
  • Akaseki finished The One Who Died Is Your Mom and received a two-hour game experience coupon that could be used for any game he had trialed.
  • Akaseki decided the coupon would be most useful for Warrior Synthesis, where he was close to copying Combination Ninjutsu, but chose to look around before using it.

Ch. 53Uninvited Guest

Akashi completed Tanuki Treasure’s recovery by giving it the ninth Big Red Bite, while Minato and Ranwu investigated a suspicious ship that had arrived at the Land of Whirlpools. Minato sensed a group of powerful strangers disembarking and tried to learn more about them.

  • Akashi discovered that most masks in the Mask Storage Hall had similar recycling values and chose one worth 500 points.
  • Akashi learned that Tanuki Treasure was a Nine Mask Svāhā tanuki and that it needed one final Celestial Maiden mask to recover fully.
  • Akashi gave Tanuki Treasure its ninth Big Red Bite, and the Celestial Maiden mask appeared on its back, completing its set of nine masks.
  • Minato stopped Ranwu from approaching an unfamiliar ship, and they hid in the woods to observe its passengers.
  • Minato used the Thousand Worlds Awareness Technique to sense the disembarked group and detected several people with jonin-level Chakra reserves.
  • Ranwu asked whether Minato could hear the strangers, and he tried to sense their voices.

Ch. 54There was a conspiracy

Akaseki discovered that urgency had awakened the burst flame aspect of his Fire Style chakra, then learned that enemy ninja might have captured the Land of Waves merchants and set a trap for Jiraiya’s team. As Akaseki and Ranwu went to find Minato, Tanuki Treasure stayed behind as the Mask Storage Hall vanished.

  • Akaseki found that burst flame had appeared in his Fire Style chakra and considered how emotions might awaken other chakra aspects.
  • Ranwu told Akaseki that an unidentified group of at least three Jonin and over a dozen Chunin had landed on the southern shore while Minato tracked them.
  • Ranwu explained that Minato had heard the words “Konoha,” “trap,” and “merchants,” and that the group might have captured the Land of Waves merchants and endangered Jiraiya and Torifu Akimichi.
  • Akaseki agreed that they could not abandon the merchants and prepared to join Minato with Ranwu.
  • Tanuki Treasure refused to leave the Mask Storage Hall, and Akaseki told it to reverse-summon him if danger arose.
  • Tanuki Treasure returned to the hall, whose doors shut before the entire building shimmered and disappeared.

Ch. 55Concealing Traces

Akaseki, Ranwu, and Minato tracked a group of Kirigakure ninja waiting by the northern shore, but the whirlpools and open sea made it difficult to follow them unseen. Akaseki proposed hiding in a cloud above the sea and revealed a special summoning seal, leaving his method of getting airborne to be seen.

  • Akaseki and Ranwu left the sealed Mask Storage Hall after discussing Tanuki Treasure's recovery and its nine sealing techniques.
  • Akaseki and Ranwu followed Minato's marks and met him in a forest, where he reported that the group they were tracking had stopped at the northern shore to wait for low tide.
  • Ranwu and Minato explained that the whirlpools around the Land of Whirlpools interfered with Chakra and that the group included three ordinary people, making a water crossing risky.
  • Akaseki suggested that Ranwu use the Hidden Mist Technique in the sky so they could pass as a cloud, then detour through the Whirlpool Sea region.
  • Akaseki formed the hand seals for the Summoning Technique and pressed his palm forward, revealing a red-and-cyan seal bearing the character for Vermilion.

Ch. 56Sealing Technique?

Akaseki revealed that Tanuki Treasure could transform into a flying Vermilion Bird, and he, Ranwu, and Minato used it to reach Whirlpool Mountain under cover of mist. As an approaching group landed, Akaseki left a hidden Shadow Clone to gather intelligence while the others retreated.

  • Akaseki summoned Tanuki Treasure in its Vermilion Bird form, surprising Ranwu with its transformation and prompting them to discuss the masks and Sealing Techniques.
  • Ranwu cloaked the flying Vermilion Bird with the Hidden Mist Technique as Akaseki, Ranwu, and Minato traveled toward Whirlpool Mountain.
  • Minato joked about giving Tanuki Treasure a more imposing name, but Tanuki Treasure could not remember a long one.
  • As the tide receded and the whirlpool zone shrank, Akaseki left a Shadow Clone underground near the expected landing spot to eavesdrop on the approaching group.
  • Minato sensed that the group had landed, and the three waited in hiding for them to reveal useful information.

Ch. 57Purpose

Akaseki, Minato, and Ranwu discovered that Kirigakure shinobi led by Akebino were forcing merchants from the Land of Waves to find Bloodthirsty Star Iron, while plotting against Teacher Jiraiya. At the sealed cave, Tanuki Treasure said only Akaseki and Ranwu could sneak inside, leaving Minato outside to provide support.

  • Akaseki dispelled his Shadow Clone Technique and learned that Akebino's Kirigakure shinobi were coercing the merchants and searching for Bloodthirsty Star Iron.
  • Akaseki, Minato, and Ranwu decided to rescue the merchants and tracked the group through the night.
  • Minato located a sealed cave and inferred that the Kirigakure shinobi were preparing to break an Uzumaki Clan Sealing Technique.
  • Akaseki summoned Tanuki Treasure on the far side of the mountain to find a way through the seal without damaging it.
  • Tanuki Treasure indicated that only two people could enter, so Minato stayed outside while Akaseki and Ranwu prepared to sneak in.

Ch. 58Infiltration

Akaseki and Ranwu infiltrated the sealed mine while Minato stayed outside to watch over them and relay information. After finding the black crystalline ore, they discussed their chakra reserves and prepared for a possible fight with the Hidden Mist ninja.

  • Akaseki, Ranwu, and Minato agreed to prioritize their own safety and the hostages, killing the Hidden Mist ninja if they had no other choice.
  • Akaseki and Ranwu left shadow clones outside, then used Black Tortoise Tanuki Treasure to pass through the seal and enter the mine.
  • Minato remained outside and maintained the Thousand Worlds Awareness Technique to monitor his companions.
  • Akaseki and Ranwu found glossy black crystalline ore growing on the mine walls.
  • Ranwu estimated her remaining strength, while Akaseki planned to save enough chakra to unleash a Great Dragon Fire Technique down the narrow tunnel.

Ch. 59Genjutsu

Akaseki and Ranwu hid as ore while Kirigakure ninja entered the mine to test the bloodthirsty star iron with blood. Ranwu’s genjutsu trapped the rear guard in a vision of old grudges and conspiracies, leaving Shiokawa to realize he had stabbed Meizawa.

  • Ranwu warned Akaseki that six Kirigakure Chunin and three hostages were approaching, and they disguised themselves as ore in the mining chamber.
  • The Kirigakure ninja arrived with three merchants from the Land of Waves, and the scar-faced Chunin poured fresh blood over the ore to test it.
  • Shiokawa and Meizawa entered the tunnel’s rear, where Shiokawa began to suspect that the passage and voices were behaving strangely.
  • Ranwu’s genjutsu made Shiokawa believe Meizawa had accused him of killing his brother and that the clan ninja were plotting against commoners.
  • Shiokawa fled through the tunnel and, mistaking Meizawa for an enemy, drove a kunai into his chest before realizing what he had done.

Ch. 60Ambush

Akaseki and Ranwu ambushed and subdued four Kirigakure chunin in a mine on Whirlpool Mountain, while Akaseki’s illusion caused Shiokawa to kill Meizawa. The chapter left Urami Kiriota trapped and facing Akaseki’s summoned Three Platforms Messenger as he accused Konoha of trying to start a war.

  • Shiotani Masumi and Urami Namiizō mined black crystalline ore while Urami Kiriota watched the merchants from the Land of Waves.
  • Ranwu plunged the mine into darkness and restrained Momochi Senzan and Shiotani Masumi, while Akaseki ambushed Namiizō and trapped Kiriota with Rock Pillar Prison and explosive tags.
  • Akaseki told Ranwu that Shiokawa had killed Meizawa after Akaseki’s Sharingan illusion drove Shiokawa mad.
  • Akaseki taunted Momochi Senzan about Kirigakure’s internal divisions, and Kiriota recognized the conflict between civilian and clan ninja.
  • Akaseki summoned the Three Platforms Messenger as Kiriota demanded to know whether Konoha intended to start a war with Kirigakure.

Ch. 61Interrogation

Akaseki and Ranwu interrogated the captured Kirigakure ninja and the Land of Waves merchants, learning that a pirate ninja group was involved in the plot against Konoha's Jonin squad. After Minato warned that eight enemy Chunin had entered the mine, Ranwu evacuated the merchants while Akaseki prepared to intercept them.

  • Akaseki used Three Platforms Messenger · Tanuki Treasure to drain the captured Hidden Mist ninja's chakra, then demanded to know why Kirigakure had entered the Land of Whirlpools and where they had taken Konoha's Jonin squad.
  • Akaseki injured Urami Namiizō to pressure the prisoners, but Urami Kiriota refused to submit or reveal their plan.
  • Akaseki questioned the three Land of Waves merchants, who said they had met the Kirigakure ninja at sea and mentioned that a group of pirate ninja had joined the plot.
  • After receiving Minato's warning, Akaseki told Ranwu to send the merchants away with a shadow clone while Tanuki Treasure changed into Black Tortoise · Tanuki Treasure.
  • Ranwu's shadow clone took the merchants underground, and Akaseki stayed behind with Ranwu to intercept the eight enemy Chunin entering the mine.

Ch. 62Shuriken Shadow Clone!

Akaseki and Ranwu fought three Kirigakure jonin in a mine tunnel, using clones, mist, and shuriken to catch them off guard. Akaseki ended the chapter unleashing Great Dragon Fire Technique as the real enemies charged through the fog.

  • Akaseki refused to retreat and recognized that most of the Kirigakure figures approaching with torches were Water Clones.
  • Akaseki used Accelerated Kunai and explosive tags while Ranwu filled the tunnel with Hidden Mist and Starch Syrup Capturing Field.
  • Akaseki used Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique to overwhelm the trapped enemies, destroying the remaining Water Clones while the real ninja defended themselves.
  • The Kirigakure ninja thickened the mist with their own Hidden Mist Technique, revealing their real bodies as they charged at Akaseki and Ranwu.
  • Ranwu blocked the incoming ninja tools as Akaseki formed hand seals and unleashed Fire Style: Great Dragon Fire Technique.

Ch. 63Eight Shields Can't Block Fire Style!

Akaseki used the Great Dragon Fire Technique against eight Kirigakure chunin, whose Water Style attacks failed to stop it. The fire dragon and scalding steam swept through the mine, leaving the Mist shinobi screaming.

  • Three Kirigakure chunin thickened the Hidden Mist, but Ranwu's water mist still let her sense their Chakra reactions.
  • The Kirigakure chunin noticed Akaseki preparing Fire Style and coordinated eight shinobi to counter him with Water Style.
  • Akaseki unleashed the Great Dragon Fire Technique, which overwhelmed four Water Chaos Waves and four Water Shark Bullet Techniques.
  • The fire dragon surged through the mine, and its heat and scalding steam struck the Kirigakure shinobi, who screamed.

Ch. 64The Kaguya Clan

Akaseki and Ranwu escaped the mine after Akaseki burned their attackers, but a Kaguya Clan jonin intercepted them. As Kaguya Isuke charged with a bone sword, Ranwu suddenly froze.

  • Akaseki used a powerful Fire Style technique to injure eight enemies in the mine, while four others were subdued.
  • Akaseki and Ranwu escaped underground after the seal broke, and Ranwu stopped Akaseki from killing the injured enemies.
  • Ranwu tackled Akaseki aside to avoid a white bone kunai thrown by a tall Hidden Mist ninja.
  • Akaseki recognized the attacker as Kaguya Isuke, who identified Akaseki as an Uchiha and noticed Ranwu's connection to the Senju Clan.
  • Isuke drew a bone sword from his palm and charged at Akaseki and Ranwu, but Ranwu suddenly froze.

Ch. 65Counterattack from Desperate Straits

Akaseki and Ranwu fought Kaguya Isuke after Minato drew away some of the enemy Jonin, but both were badly exhausted and Akaseki lost the sight of one eye. They briefly turned the fight around with a Sharingan Genjutsu and Ranwu’s dangerous Strength of a Hundred, then fled when Akaseki sensed someone approaching.

  • Isuke slashed Akaseki’s left eye, and Ranwu pulled him back while reporting that Minato had ambushed the enemy and her Shadow Clone had escorted the Land of Waves merchant to safety.
  • Ranwu used the Hidden Mist Technique and then Water Colliding Wave to slow Isuke, but he sensed their position and caught up as she carried Akaseki away.
  • Akaseki opened his injured left eye and used Sharingan: Heart Fear to catch Isuke off guard at close range.
  • Ranwu struck Isuke with the Strength of a Hundred, breaking bones and sending him through several trees, though she coughed up blood too.
  • Akaseki sensed someone approaching, and Ranwu carried him away from the fight.

Ch. 66New Play

After escaping with Ranwu, Akaseki hid in a mine tunnel and used Immersion to recover while enemies searched the mountain. He obtained a Prosperity Realm Massage Device to help restore his strength and Chakra, though his injured left eye still needed treatment.

  • Ranwu carried Akaseki to a mine tunnel containing an Uzumaki Clan seal, and Akaseki summoned Tanuki Treasure to guide them inside.
  • Akaseki entered Immersion with the sponsored drama Tanuki Swaps with the Young Master and watched Hong Yan struggle to prove his identity to the Hong Family.
  • Akaseki received a Correction Device during the first hour, then an Eye Protection Device that restored some Dojutsu Power but warned him not to use its medium or higher settings.
  • Akaseki watched Hong Yangyang and the butler torment Hong Yan until the butler broke both his legs.
  • Akaseki received and purchased the Prosperity Realm Massage Device to recover from exhaustion and restore his Chakra while Ranwu stood guard.

Ch. 67Shadow Clone Technique

Akaseki and Ranwu recovered from their injuries in a sealed mine tunnel, then discussed the Shadow Clone Technique and its limits. Akaseki learned that clones could not serve as separate Chakra reserves and that synchronized eye fatigue made them a risky way to restore Dojutsu Power, while they still awaited news of Minato.

  • Akaseki woke after recovering most of his Chakra and reassured Ranwu that his injured left eye was not blind.
  • Akaseki urged Ranwu to rest so they could send a Shadow Clone to check on Minato at noon.
  • Ranwu recovered her Chakra and shattered the splint on her injured arm, while Akaseki revealed that his attempt to use a Shadow Clone as a Chakra reserve had failed.
  • Ranwu explained that Shadow Clones divide Chakra evenly, reproduce the user's condition, and transmit memories and certain injuries or powers.
  • Ranwu warned Akaseki that using Shadow Clones to recover Dojutsu Power would also synchronize eye fatigue, and she defended her grandfather's technique when Akaseki questioned its usefulness to the Uchiha Clan.

Ch. 69Battle Results

Akaseki, Ranwu, and Minato regrouped and learned that most of the Hidden Mist Village force had been wounded or weakened, while two enemy Jonin remained unaccounted for. After weighing the risks of attacking, Akaseki revealed something that astonished Minato and Ranwu.

  • Minato recounted ambushing a Hidden Mist Jonin, being wounded by a Kaguya Clan fighter, and escaping Jinin Akebino after a prolonged pursuit.
  • Akaseki described the battle inside the mine, including using a Fire Style technique against eight Chunin and injuring his eye while saving Ranwu.

  • Minato and Ranwu warned that Akebino and Kaguya could return if Team 7 failed to finish a fight quickly, and Minato noted that both sides now knew each other's abilities.
  • Akaseki revealed something about their situation, leaving Minato and Ranwu astonished.

Ch. 70Akebino's worries

Akebino weighed his squad’s losses against his desire to kill the Konoha prodigies, while Minato confronted him at the temporary base. A signal from the battlefield suggested Kaguya was in mortal danger, leaving Akebino forced to choose between helping her and protecting his wounded squad.

  • Masumi failed to sense Team 7, but Akebino praised her for finding three merchants from the Land of Waves and bringing them back.
  • Akebino learned that Shōzu Renha was too badly burned to treat the squad, Meizawa was dead, and Namiizō needed urgent care for his injured hands.
  • Akebino insisted that the squad wait for their contact in one day because he wanted to kill the Konoha Genin, despite the squad’s dire condition.
  • After an explosion sounded nearby, Minato approached the base but stopped outside Ryū’s sealing technique and challenged Akebino to help his comrade.
  • A firework burst from the direction of the explosion, indicating that Kaguya had likely sent a distress signal while close to death.

Ch. 71Earth Mausoleum Dumpling

Minato, Akaseki, and Ranwu planned a surprise attack after learning most of the Hidden Mist force remained badly injured, but Jinin Akebino was returning. Akaseki and Ranwu found Kaguya and Shiokawa, and Akaseki began his ambush with Earth Style: Earth Mausoleum Dumpling.

  • Minato shared his Shadow Clone’s memories and reported that seven of the enemy’s wounded were still severely injured, while one Chunin had recovered.
  • Minato revealed that Jinin Akebino was returning with another Chunin, so Akaseki and Ranwu set out with Minato’s Shadow Clone to find Kaguya Isuke.
  • The group tracked Kaguya and Shiokawa, whom Minato recognized as the Chunin who had called for help during the mine ambush.
  • Kaguya detected Ranwu and Akaseki approaching, and Shiokawa stepped in front of him with a kunai.
  • Akaseki raised a massive boulder from beneath the ground and shouted the name of his Earth Style technique.

Ch. 72First-Encounter Kill

Akaseki used a disguised Combination Ninjutsu to exploit Kaguya Isuke’s habit of meeting attacks head-on, severely injuring him with an explosive boulder. Shiokawa fired a warning flare as the fight turned against them.

  • Akaseki used Earth Style: Subterranean Voyage to approach Kaguya Isuke, but the Kaguya Jonin detected him.
  • Akaseki threw an Earth Mausoleum Dumpling at Kaguya Isuke, who chose to slash through it while Shiokawa evaded.
  • The boulder’s soft interior revealed Akaseki’s Great Explosive Bomb Technique, which detonated in Kaguya Isuke’s face.
  • The explosion blasted Kaguya Isuke into a tree and badly damaged his bone armor.
  • Shiokawa fired a warning flare after seeing Kaguya Isuke severely injured.

Ch. 73Reinforcements?

Kaguya and Shiokawa fought Akaseki and Ranwu until Ryu arrived and drove them toward the wounded Hidden Mist Village ninja. A Hidden Mist ship then appeared, but its bow carried two Konoha elite Jonin, leaving the rescue uncertain.

  • Kaguya used Bone Vein Armament and her spine as a weapon, but Ranwu restrained her with a Water Flow Whip.
  • Akaseki taunted Shiokawa about killing a companion and having left the body behind, then wounded him and placed him under Genjutsu.
  • Ryu arrived and used the Hidden Mist Technique, but Ranwu summoned Vermilion Bird Tanuki Treasure to carry Akaseki and Ranwu toward the wounded ninja.
  • Ryu rushed back to the shore, where he found the three Konoha brats had held their attack after spotting a large Hidden Mist Village ship.
  • The ship approached with two Konoha elite Jonin, one white-haired and one round and stout, standing at its bow.

Ch. 74The magnanimous Uchiha

Jiraiya and Torifu Akimichi arrived at the coastal outpost and forced Akebino’s Kirigakure team to surrender their weapons and the bloodthirsty star iron. Akaseki then returned Meizawa’s corpse to Kirigakure, hoping its examination would expose the circumstances of his death.

  • Akebino returned to the outpost and attacked Minato, but Jiraiya and Torifu Akimichi arrived on a toad and a giant, stopping the assault.
  • Jiraiya noticed Akaseki’s bandaged eyes, while Akaseki claimed he had lost an eye defending Konoha’s honor.
  • Jiraiya accused Akebino’s team of violating Konoha’s agreement with the Mizukage and demanded their ninja tools and the bloodthirsty star iron.
  • Akebino surrendered Kabutowari and the bloodthirsty star iron, and Jiraiya prepared to let the Kirigakure ninja leave.
  • Akaseki stopped them and used a sealing scroll to produce Meizawa’s corpse, which he said Kirigakure should take back for examination.

Ch. 75A New Agreement

Team 7 sailed home with Jiraiya and Torifu Akimichi after their mission, while the adults discussed the ambush and Konoha’s tentative understanding with Kirigakure. Inoichi explained the Land of Water’s fractured politics and Karatachi Genso’s rise, leaving Team 7 with a clearer picture of the conflict.

  • Torifu Akimichi reassured the Land of Waves merchants that they could seek missions from Konoha or Kirigakure, and Jiraiya confirmed their ship had been returned and the pirates’ base destroyed.
  • Akaseki recounted Team 7’s exploits at the ruins of the Land of Whirlpools, then told Jiraiya that his eyes could recover to eighty percent; Jiraiya planned to have Tsunade treat him.
  • Jiraiya explained that he and Torifu had captured their ambushers and contacted the Mizukage through a curse seal triggered during Inoichi Yamanaka’s memory search.
  • Jiraiya and Torifu went into the cabin to discuss other matters, and Inoichi told Team 7 that the Land of Water was divided among rival clans and Kirigakure’s commoner ninja.
  • Inoichi described Karatachi Genso as a powerful faction leader who supported coexistence between commoner and clan ninja and might soon become the Third Mizukage.

Ch. 76Return to the Village

After returning to Konoha, Team 7 and their escorts reported their mission and received praise and extra compensation after reaching an agreement with the Mizukage. Tsunade healed Akaseki’s eye, while Ranwu asked to study medical ninjutsu, leaving her with a new goal.

  • Yamanaka explained that Karatachi Xuancang had gone to the Land of Whirlpools to gather materials for powerful ninja swords, and Akaseki learned how the Ino-Shika-Cho trio had helped the mission.
  • After half a month, Akimichi Torifu and Jiraiya returned to Konoha with the team and reported the mission to the Third, where Shimura questioned their seizure of Kirigakure’s ore and tools.
  • Akimichi defended the team’s actions, and the Third praised the mission, raised its rank to A-rank, and promised additional compensation.
  • Jiraiya sent Akaseki to Konoha Hospital, where Tsunade treated the damage to his left eye and warned him not to activate his Sharingan for three days.
  • Ranwu asked Tsunade to teach her medical ninjutsu after reflecting on how much it could have helped Team 7 during the mission.
