Akaseki brought Hikari to Konoha and joined a mission to Rōran, where the Ryūmyaku drew time travelers from the future into the present. After learning of the Uchiha massacre and Minato’s apparent death, Akaseki faced a future version of himself while Rōran was caught between their battle and a looming space-time trap.

• Akaseki brought Hikari to Konoha, where Grandma Chizuru welcomed her into the Uchiha Clan and Hiruzen Sarutobi heard Akaseki’s account of the war and the Mizukage’s death.
• Akaseki introduced Hikari to Ranwu, Minato, and Kushina, then joined a mission to Rōran after Orochimaru explained that its Ryūmyaku could affect space-time.
• Akaseki’s team discovered that An Lushan had taken control of Rōran and encountered Konoha, Naruto, and Sasuke, time travelers from a later era who had been trapped by the Ryūmyaku.
• Hikari captured Sasuke, and Akaseki learned that the Uchiha Clan had been massacred in the future, while Minato recognized himself as the Fourth Hokage and Akaseki challenged the future’s course.
• Akaseki and Ranwu fought the Third Kazekage’s forces as Minato and Naruto tried to rescue Kakashi, who was being drained by the Box of Bliss beneath the Regent’s Tower.
• Kakashi returned injured with news that An Lushan wore Akaseki’s face and possessed a Rinnegan, while Minato’s blood-written scroll suggested he had died trying to stop the impostor.
• Hikari fought the future Akaseki with her Susanoo as Akaseki supplied her senjutsu chakra, but the battle devastated Rōran and left both groups unable to escape.
• Kakashi recognized that Akaseki could recover chakra while not fighting and rallied Team 7 to make an opening, as Akaseki handed Kakashi the White Fang.

After returning from Rōran, Akaseki helped the Uchiha Clan weather political fallout in Konoha and joined an expedition to investigate sealed ruins in the Land of Wind. The team entered the ruin, where Miroku’s visions and the legend of Moryo suggested a danger that could threaten the Shinobi World.

• Future Akaseki revived the victims of Rōran and restored Akaseki’s sight before dying, and Minato later sent the visitors from the future home as the Akaseki Squad helped rebuild the city.
• Akaseki negotiated a Sunagakure mission-sharing agreement, then returned to Konoha with Minato and Ranwu amid the controversy surrounding Hatake Sakumo and Wangjie Chouzhen’s suicide.
• Jiancheng agreed to reforms addressing harassment and psychological distress, and Hiruzen Sarutobi assigned the Uchiha Clan to investigate reopened ruins in the Land of Wind.
• Yangyong led Akaseki, Ranwu, Nonō, and the Uchiha team to meet the Daimyo, Miroku, Yomi, and Feng Qi before setting out for the ruins.
• Miroku revealed visions of a future daughter named Konoha and later warned that three Uchiha would be pierced by tentacles, so Akaseki split them between the expedition and the entrance guard.
• The team fought resilient purple clay puppets, trapped them behind seals, and pushed into the ruin as Yangyong led the way.
• Miroku explained that Miko legends connected Moryo to a threat against the Shinobi World and said the First Miko had sacrificed herself to seal it.
