Ouyang Rui was in a foul mood, and for a simple reason. They'd only been sent to deal with a few E-Class nobodies, yet the three men from the Golden Triangle had ended up getting killed instead.

But most of the powerful people Ouyang Rui could freely call on had been sent to hunt down the Winter Witch, who had fled H City.

"What a bunch of useless idiots," Ouyang Rui cursed.

"Mr. Ouyang, there's no need to worry," a man said, coming to his side. If Lin Jie and the others had been there, they would have recognized him: he was one of the buyers from the Evolution Company who had previously traded for Little Girl. "Those E-Class heroes who ruined the deal won't live to see tomorrow."

"No way am I letting a little girl like her live with you guys." Lin Wan had just finished shopping and was holding Little Girl in her arms. "I don't trust any of you! Especially you, big brother!"

"What did I do?" Lin Jie asked, puzzled.

"Don't think I don't know. The anime you've been watching these past few years has made you more and more perverted." Lin Wan pointed at Lin Jie.

"I'm not, okay? If anyone's a pervert, it's this guy." Lin Jie pointed at Xiao Zhan, who was standing nearby.

"Who are you calling a pervert? I only date mature women," Xiao Zhan protested.

"Little sister, tell me, have they done anything weird to you?" Lin Wan asked Little Girl.

Little Girl was wearing a new pink dress, and Lin Wan had tied her hair into twin tails. She tilted her head and thought for a moment, then pointed at Xiao Zhan. "When we first met, this big brother kept poking me with a weird stick. It made me feel really strange."

Lin Wan looked at Xiao Zhan as if he were a pervert.

"Wait, that was a misunderstanding! The stick he's talking about was my weapon... I..." Xiao Zhan hurried to explain, but only made himself sound guiltier.

"See what I mean? He's the pervert. If I hadn't stopped him in time, who knows what he might've done?" Lin Jie piled on. "Isn't that right, little sister?"

"Yeah!" Little Girl nodded.

"See? Your big brother isn't a pervert, is he?"

"Brother Lin took Brother Xiao's stick away," Little Girl said, nodding again. Then her next words plunged Lin Jie into the depths of depravity. "And then Brother Lin wanted to poke me with the stick too."

Lin Wan hugged Little Girl even tighter. Her look of suspicion had turned into utter contempt.

"Those two are complete perverts, but don't worry. I'll keep an eye on them," Glasses said to Lin Wan, whose gaze had grown sharp. "If you don't believe me, ask her. I'm great with kids."

"Big Brother Lolicon is really nice to me. He promised to give me yummy food and take me out to play," Little Girl chimed in. Compared to Lin Jie and Xiao Zhan, she felt closer to Glasses.

"Big Brother Lolicon?" Lin Wan's gaze sharpened further.

"That's a misunderstanding! I'm nothing like those two," Glasses hurried to explain.

"I don't believe you. Either way, I can't leave this child with you. It's just not safe," Lin Wan said.

"No," Lin Jie told Lin Wan. "I told you, a dangerous organization is after her. You'll be in danger if you stay with her."

"I don't care," Lin Wan said stubbornly. "She's so cute. I'm taking her home."

"This isn't the time to be stubborn," Lin Jie said. "What if the enemy attacks our house?"

"Aren't you there? I heard you took down a B-Class superhero with one hit," Lin Wan said. "Besides, none of you three men knows how to look after a child."

"Who says we don't know how to look after kids?" Lin Jie protested.

"Exactly," Xiao Zhan said from the side. "I've been taking great care of her, haven't I, little sister?"

Little Girl smiled happily at Xiao Zhan's words. "Yes! Big brother's been so nice to me. After he brought me home, he gave me all kinds of flavored spicy strips."

"Come on, listen to your big sister. Stay away from those perverted men from now on. I'll make you some of my specialties when we get home." Lin Wan led Little Girl toward home, leaving the three speechless men behind.

"Why the hell have you been feeding her spicy strips all the time? You've turned a perfectly good little girl into an idiot!" Lin Jie complained to Xiao Zhan.

"You've got some nerve! Who was it that gave your sister the impression you're a pervert? That was you, wasn't it?" Xiao Zhan shot back.

"Me, a pervert? How am I a pervert?" Lin Jie demanded.

"Who was it shouting in public, 'Anyone who dares take our little girl will pay for it!' and stuff like that?"

Glasses decisively ignored the two perverts in front of him. In fact, he still had the daily task of keeping in touch with Dong Xue'er. In an era when phones and electronic devices could be interfered with or expose their users, someone with Glasses' ability made an ideal messenger.

After Glasses disappeared from view, Lin Jie and Xiao Zhan stopped bickering.

"What do we do now?" Lin Jie asked.

"I'll leave the little girl to you. If you can't handle it, I'd just be walking into a death trap," Xiao Zhan said.

"What are you planning to do?" Lin Jie asked.

"I'm going back to upgrade my weapon. Then I need to set up the custom-made camera glasses at the designated location," Xiao Zhan said. "I used my companies to look into what Dong Xue'er told us. At least eighty percent of it is true."

"Fine, then we'll split up," Lin Jie said. "I'll keep the little girl safe. You take care of what you can."

With that, Lin Jie started after Lin Wan.

"Wait, is it really a good idea to drag your sister into this?" Xiao Zhan asked.

"Don't worry. She won't get hurt," Lin Jie said confidently. "The people I want to protect won't suffer again. More importantly, we really don't know how to look after a child."

Watching Lin Jie walk away, Xiao Zhan muttered curiously, "Why did he say 'again'?"

That night, at Xiao's Building, a shapely shadow slipped past all the building's surveillance and alarm systems and made her way to the top floor.

Shadow was one of the Evolution Company's trained assassins. Though only C-Class, her assassination and stealth skills surpassed those of most elite agents trained by the World Government.

Tonight's mission was an easy one for her: assassinate Zhan Chen, the E-Class hero who had recently sabotaged the Evolution Company's deal.

Zhan Chen seemed to be working on something in his workshop. By then, Shadow had quietly infiltrated his room. She clung to the ceiling, her body changing color to match it. The moment Xiao Zhan stepped out of the lab, she could kill him right there.

She didn't have to wait long before Xiao Zhan came out of the room.

"Now's my chance." Shadow moved to strike, but the thing in Xiao Zhan's hand caught her eye, making her miss her best opportunity.

"What on earth is that?" Shadow stared in shock at the censored, stick-shaped object Xiao Zhan was holding as he walked into the living room.

"My Plasma Decontamination Rod 3001 is finally finished," Xiao Zhan said, carefully examining the weapon in his hand.

"That's his specialty weapon. Why is looking at it making my heart race?" Shadow stared at the censored stick in shock.

"Let's test it out." Xiao Zhan activated the Plasma Decontamination Rod in his hand. A vibrating sound filled the room. On top of that, the head of the censored stick began to wobble irregularly.

Shadow's face had turned bright red up on the ceiling. "Th-this isn't a weapon! How can anyone use such a perverted thing as a weapon?"

Ignoring the silent shrieks of the onlooker, Xiao Zhan took out a cup.

"A cup? What's he going to do?" Shadow's attention was now completely fixed on Xiao Zhan's every move.

As she watched in curiosity, a milky-white liquid suddenly sprayed from the censored rod in Xiao Zhan's hand. He filled an entire cup with steaming white liquid.

"He actually... made it that realistic... This is... so perverted." Shadow clung to the ceiling, but Xiao Zhan's next move nearly made her jaw drop.

He drank the entire cup of white liquid in one go, then couldn't help licking the residue from his lips.

"Th-this is way too perverted! He drank it! After making something so perverted, he actually drank it! And he seems to be enjoying it! Does he normally have this kind of hobby? This man is so unfathomable! How perverted do you have to be to drink something like that? Even a girl would..." Shadow had completely lost it on the ceiling.

"The sweetness is just right. This way, I can have a sip of hot milk whenever I'm fighting," Xiao Zhan said.

"So it's milk! Of course. There's no way a man would actually drink that kind of thing." Shadow felt a wave of relief.

"Now let's try out the new combat suit." Xiao Zhan seemed to activate some kind of device, and then his entire body was covered in censorship pixels.

Just like that, a censored humanoid creature appeared in the room, holding a censored stick-shaped weapon.

"It's turned into something incredible!"

"Now let's try it at full power." Xiao Zhan pressed a button on the weapon in his hand. It immediately began spinning rapidly, spraying white milk everywhere with its powerful rotation. Some of it even splattered onto him.

"This isn't good. It leaks milk at full power..."

In Shadow's eyes, a censored creature, smeared with an unidentified white liquid, stood in the room.

"It's turned into something disgusting!" Shadow on the ceiling could no longer keep her composure.
