On the second day of school, Kushida approached Mu Tianchen after class, introduced herself as Kikyou Kushida, and asked to exchange contact information. Before revealing her full request, she was interrupted by friends calling her to lunch. Mu Tianchen immediately suspected that her shy mannerisms and friendly image were artificial. 7

She later arranged a private rooftop meeting and asked Mu Tianchen to obtain Takagahara’s contact information or arrange a meeting with him. She claimed she wanted to be friends with everyone, including Takagahara, who seemed to dislike her. 11 Takagahara had already seen through her character, describing her as someone with an “ugly heart,” and refused to assist her directly. 13

During the midterm study period, Kushida recruited Sudo, Ike, Yamauchi, and Okiya to Horikita’s session. She tried to mediate the conflict between Horikita and the struggling students, then attempted to teach them herself.
