"By the way, was there actually something you needed when you called earlier?"

"That was just an excuse to invite you out. There's nothing really..."

Ichinose stared at me with a hint of suspicion.

"Really?"

"Really."

"...I don't believe you."

She doesn't believe me.

I glanced sideways at Ichinose, who was walking alongside me through Zelkova Shopping Center.

She had changed out of her uniform after leaving the dorm. Though early spring still carried a chill, the girls seemed to have already started fighting back against the weather with fiery outfits.

Unlike the uniform she wore to school, she had deliberately switched to a more casual, relaxed look.
