Shocked as he was, Rimewind still had to ask about the parts that didn't make sense:
"I can understand wanting to join the Eclipsing Light Imperial Guard even in your dreams, and not wanting to fail at the final critical moment."
"But when given the choice between dying yourself and triggering a substitute-death item, choosing to die yourself is something I just can't understand."
"You Earthlings aren't the Spirit Clan. Once you die, you lose your Player qualifications."
"Do you still care whether you can join the Eclipsing Light Imperial Guard?"
"Staying alive is what really matters..."
Lin Tianxia chuckled softly without saying a word.
Seeing that the other party offered no answer, Rimewind knew he was deliberately keeping it confidential.
Though his curiosity burned, he still suppressed the urge to keep asking.
He immediately changed the subject.
"The Eclipsing Light Imperial Guard's selection criteria are so stringent. The elimination rate must be pretty high."
"Just making them jump off an airship without any protective measures would weed out plenty of members with low to middling Constitution Attributes."
"Instead of going through all that trouble, wouldn't it be easier and more economical to simply set a hard threshold for the Four-Dimensional Attributes?"
"There already is a Four-Dimensional Attributes threshold." Lin Tianxia calmly picked up the conversation.
"Those qualified for training are all Players with average Attributes exceeding 95 points."
"They basically won't die from the fall outright, at most getting injured."
"The training and trials they must undergo involve returning alive from the Changbai Mountain Snow Region to the Frost Territory while injured and unable to use their Talent Abilities."
"During that time, Instructor Zhang will do everything he can to hunt down these reserve members, creating further difficulties for them."
The Rimewind King had not actually heard a word
