Just as Black Whale was silently grumbling, Black Star seemed to sense something and looked over at him without a word.
The two locked eyes.
A brief look of confusion surfaced in Black Star's blue-green eyes, but it quickly turned into killing intent.
He gripped the other Antler Blade in his hand as well.
Sensing trouble, Black Whale hurriedly spoke up:
"Misunderstanding, this is all a misunderstanding!"
"I was just passing by. I don't know that woman called Phantom Purple Enchantress at all!"
"If she hadn't forcibly dragged me into this and forced me to defend myself, I never would've gotten involved in your business!"
"You think I'd believe that?" Black Star asked coldly, continuing to advance.
"What I said is true!" Black Whale looked miserable, as though he were about to cry.
"I really was just passing by!"
"If that guy called Eternal Night hadn't launched an indiscriminate attack and exposed me, I definitely wouldn't have shown myself!"
"Then you would've hidden in the dark and waited for an opportunity, right?" Black Star said flatly, already raising the Antler Blade into an attacking stance. "You wanted to wait until the three of us had fought each other to the brink of death, then reap the benefits, didn't you?"
"Uh, no... I just wanted to watch quietly and enjoy the show..." Black Whale's reply lacked conviction.
Seeing that Black Star did not seem inclined to let him off easily, he abandoned his pleading tone and turned to threats.
"Don't think that just because my talent has no offensive power, I'll be as easily killed as that useless Phantom Purple Enchantress."
"If you insist on attacking me, I guarantee you'll regret your decision!"
"Is that so?" Black Star stopped advancing, but the killing intent radiating from him did not diminish. "Then
