Balgon's outrageous demand, however, was not what shocked the Rimewind King most.
What truly made him lose it was the lightning-fast response from his longtime friend beside him, the Octopus Lady:
"No problem!"
No problem my ass, you fat dead octopus!
The Rimewind King cursed inwardly, lunging forward to cover the Octopus Lady's big mouth. At the same time, he spoke to Balgon at breakneck speed:
"Cancel the deal!"
"Balgon, go back wherever you came from! We're not asking about the intelligence on the War of Gods anymore!!"
"Huh? You really don't want to know anymore?" The smile faded from Balgon's face, and obvious disappointment appeared in his sparkling eyes.
The Octopus Lady tried to struggle, but the Rimewind King had caught her off guard, leaving her unable to exert any strength for the moment.
All she could do was make muffled sounds, futilely trying to convey her wishes through incomprehensible noises.
She used five of her eight tentacles, wrapping them all around the Rimewind King's body, but still failed to pull him away.
She could only watch helplessly as Balgon gave a slight bow, took out a purple lightning-shaped dagger, tore open space, and departed soundlessly.
Only after confirming that Balgon had left did the Rimewind King remove his hands from the Octopus Lady's mouth, shaking off the saliva on them in disgust.
"What are you doing?! Didn't you say you'd help me pay for it?!"
The Octopus Lady nearly rolled her eyes into the sky as she shouted indignantly.
"Big sis, please have some mercy!" The Rimewind King looked caught between laughter and tears. "Didn't you hear the price of that information?"
"Three-fourths of the planetary resources in the Tempest Domain, plus nearly half of the actual control over the Overlord Army!"
"I heard it!" the Octopus Lady
