What if I can't find a wife later?
Arthur's mouth twitched, and a bad feeling rose in his heart.
Before he could respond, Florence, who loved nothing more than stirring up trouble, spoke from the side:
"How could you possibly fail to find a wife?"
"You're already a Spirit Clan general, and you've been protecting our king at his side all this time. Countless Spirit Clan women dream of marrying you."
"You're just putting on an act. It's not like anyone's asking you to actually treat this woman as a breeding partner."
"She's a bona fide god-tier existence. Are you even worthy of her?"
"Of course I know I'm not worthy," Armstrong said, growing more anxious after realizing he had been misunderstood. "What I mean is, there's no specific time limit for this pretend-marriage mission..."
"What if it drags on forever with no end in sight? Wouldn't I end up alone for the rest of my life?"
"Heh, you young people really do think far ahead..." Florence snickered teasingly. "Have some sense of the bigger picture and make a little sacrifice for the Spirit Clan!"
"You make it sound easy, Granny. It's not like you're the one making the sacrifice..." Armstrong grumbled unwillingly.
Florence pursed her shriveled lips. After thinking for a moment, she spoke again:
"How about this? I'll make a sacrifice too."
"If you can't find a wife later because of this, I'll marry my granddaughter Sejuani to you!"
"How about that? Now that you've got a fallback, you don't need to worry anymore, right?!"
"Not how about that!!" Armstrong nearly jumped on the spot. "Is that really a sacrifice? You're clearly trying to clear out your excess stock with me!"
"Don't blame me for being blunt, but your granddaughter Sejuani could single-handedly drag down the Spirit Clan's
