The Goblins watching from the sidelines said nothing, but when they saw Babayak truly summon the Authority of "Loyalty" from within his body, every one of them felt their hearts leap into their throats.

There was no other reason.

They simply felt that their chieftain was placing far too much trust in others.

The Goblins had no idea where this Nine-Lived Ink Drake had come from, nor how it had begun conversing with Babayak.

From their perspective, Babayak had exposed the Authority within his body after nothing more than a brief, incomprehensible exchange.

If Babayak had not looked perfectly natural, showing no signs of being controlled or coerced, these Goblin reinforcements would likely have erupted on the spot and launched a suicidal charge at the strange Ink Drake.

At that extremely tense moment, the Goblins suddenly noticed the "umbilical cord" atop the Ink Drake's head swell and writhe, as though it were pushing some object out of the purplish-red crystal and squeezing it into the drake's enormous head.

Before long, the Ink Drake opened its huge jaws and spat out a small black snake with a metallic sheen.

After leaving its mouth, the little snake swiftly swam through the air.

It moved with uncanny agility, as if it possessed life and a will of its own.

It quickly spotted the Authority of "Loyalty" floating ahead, gliding over and circling the pair of small stones radiating golden light.

As it circled them, its slender body silently lengthened until its head met its tail, producing a soft click.

The instant the sound reached his ears, Babayak felt his entire body shudder as his vision was rapidly flooded by a vast golden radiance!

At the same time, the divinity coursing through his body began to change as well!
