The demon was dead, Leo had been defeated, the "moon" had been shattered, the villagers had regained their memories, and Bobo, the village chief's son, had returned.
With that, the job officially came to an end.
It was nighttime.
The villagers invited everyone to stay the night and held a banquet.
At Natsu's invitation, Leo's team also joined in, "reluctantly."
"Mr. Wizard, you're so handsome!"
"Do you have a girlfriend?"
"Could you accept me looking like a demon?"
"Even if you can't, would you like to spend a passionate night together?"
"Please give me your excellent genes!"
"..."
At the banquet, Ifrit was naturally the most popular one.
The demon girls made no effort to hide their affection for him.
"Ifrit!" Erza saw a demon girl holding a wine cup up to Ifrit's lips and said, "Come here!"
"Huh? Got it." Ifrit got up and went to sit beside Erza.
Erza's forcefulness scared off the demon girls.
They turned their attention to Gray instead.
"Gray, your clothes!" Erza reminded him.
"Huh?" Gray suddenly realized it. Where were his clothes?!
"Hahaha, Gray, you exhibitionist!" Leo laughed loudly.
"Lord Leo, your clothes too..." Shirley reminded him hesitantly from beside him.
She wanted to look at Leo's body, but she was also jealous that other women could see it.
"Huh?!" Leo came back to his senses as well.
"Hahaha, idiot!" Gray mocked him.
"Bastard, it's time to remind you how formidable your senior disciple is!" Leo snapped in embarrassment.
"Anytime!" Gray refused to back down.
The two began competing in drinking.
"Natsu, try this! This is really delicious!" Lucy hurriedly shared a tasty dish with Natsu.
"Hm?" Lucy had only meant for Natsu to try the same dish, for him to use his chopsticks to pick some up from the plate. But before she could react, Natsu took a bite out of the half-eaten food still on her chopsticks.
"You jerk!" Lucy was both embarrassed and angry. She rained punches on Natsu, though it was hard to tell whether she was actually hitting him or acting coy. In any case, Natsu's body did not sway in the slightest. He did not stop her either, merely grinning with all his teeth exposed as he cheerfully said, "Delicious!"
It was a banquet.
Everyone ate happily.
The next morning.
Everyone bid farewell to the village and Leo's group, then left by boat.
Harujion Town.
Everyone rested there for the moment and had lunch.
As they were eating.
A conflict broke out between two tables of customers to their front right.
At table seven sat a man and a woman, apparently a couple. They were enjoying a peaceful lunch, acting lovey-dovey and clearly unwilling to be disturbed.
At table nine were three male customers. One of them, a man with rainbow-colored hair, had been staring at the female customer's waist and the area below it with a lecherous gaze. After watching for a long while, he finally could not hold himself back and stood up.
He sat down beside his companions, back-to-back with the female customer, then dropped a chopstick.
"Ah, I dropped it."
He pretended to turn around to pick up the chopstick, but in reality, he pressed his face close to the woman's chair.
"Ah!"
The woman cried out. She felt a certain part of her body being touched, and hurriedly looked down to see a strange man.
"Sorry, I was picking up my chopstick and accidentally touched you." The rainbow-haired customer rubbed his nose as he explained.
"Watch where you're going." The woman's boyfriend reminded him unhappily.
"I already said it was an accident. It wasn't intentional. What kind of attitude is that?!" To everyone's surprise, the rainbow-haired customer suddenly exploded, glaring angrily at the man.
"I didn't say anything." The male customer looked utterly baffled.
"What do you mean by that look? Are you doubting me? Do you think I did it on purpose?!" the rainbow-haired customer demanded.
"I'm not. Are you insane?" the man said irritably.
"You're even insulting me, bastard!" the rainbow-haired customer cursed. His two companions immediately stood up as well and glared at the man.
"Fine, fine. I don't want any trouble with you." Seeing that he would be at a disadvantage, the man grabbed his girlfriend and prepared to leave.
The three men did not stop them. But as the woman passed by them, all three reached out toward her private parts!
Just as the three were about to succeed.
Ifrit pulled out three cards and was about to send them flying.
"Waaah, don't argue." Suddenly, a crying voice sounded beside Ifrit's ear. An intense sense of danger made him instinctively turn and guard himself.
The newcomer was a beardless old man with messy white hair. He wore a white priest's robe and carried a black coffin as tall as a person on his back, looking completely travel-worn.
He held a book in his left hand and wiped away tears with his right, crying as he walked.
"Ah!"
In the time it took Ifrit to turn around, the woman let out a scream. The three men had clearly succeeded.
"Hahaha, so soft!"
"So fragrant!"
"So smooth!"
The three laughed smugly.
"You bastards!" How could the man endure this? He clenched his fists and was about to hit them.
"Waaah, don't fight. Love peace!" The old man took one step and crossed several meters, arriving beside them in an instant. He grabbed the man's hand.
"They bullied my girlfriend first!" the man said angrily.
"But arguing and fighting are not allowed!" the old man said through tears.
"Who are you? What does this have to do with you?!" The man's expression turned extremely ugly.
The old man was terrifyingly strong. No matter how hard he struggled, he could not break free. Instead, the old man's grip tightened, making his wrist ache as though the bones were about to crack!
"Hahaha, thanks for helping us out, old man." The three men did not care. Having taken advantage of the situation, they prepared to leave from the other side.
"Bastard, let go of me!" Furious, the man tried to kick the old man.
Clack.
Erza extended her sword sheath and blocked the man's foot.
"Who are you? Taking sides too?!" the man said furiously.
"I'm saving you," Erza said.
"Please calm down." Ifrit walked over as well and explained, "I'll help you catch those three, but don't attack this person."
As he spoke, Ifrit took out three cards.
"Don't fight!" Seeing this, the old man moved to stop Ifrit.
Whoosh.
Boom.
Crack, crack, crack.
Erza drew her sword, flames gathered in Natsu's hand, and Gray had already released freezing magic power.
The old man froze.
With Ifrit protected behind them, he ignored the old man's furious glare and sent out the three cards.
The three cards spun through the air, accurately knocking the three men to the ground. They then turned into black streams of light threaded with golden strands and flew back into Ifrit's palm.
Several kind-hearted bystanders rushed out from the surrounding crowd and gave the three men a merciless beating, leaving them bruised and swollen as they howled in pain. Then someone brought over rope and tightly bound them.
Ifrit said, "The three of them have been tied up. You can take them to the authorities now. Don't get involved in this matter anymore."
"Uh... all right. Thank you!" The man was somewhat bewildered, but he sensed that something was off and did not linger. He quickly pulled his girlfriend away, then joined the helpful bystanders in taking the three men to the authorities for judgment and punishment.
