Erigor: Go Eliminate Erza, Natsu, and Gray

Natsu reacted extremely quickly, smashing Kageyama in the face with a single punch and leaving him unable to get back up.

Natsu had been unconscious until just now and did not know the full story. He thought Kageyama was merely some passerby picking a fight, so after seeing him collapse, he paid him no further attention. Instead, flames gathered around his fist as he strode furiously toward Ifrit.

Who would have thought that after taking just one step, he would find himself standing at the train door?!

"Huh?"

Natsu looked utterly baffled.

Ifrit kicked him out, then leaped gracefully from the train with a suitcase in one hand and his hat held down with the other. Afterward, he adjusted his glasses.

A crow flew across the sky, cawing, "Elegant."

"Onng—"

The train started up and pulled away once more.

"Rumble, rumble."

Erza came racing over in a Magic Four-Wheeled Vehicle, kicking up clouds of sand and dust.

"Ifrit, you awful bastard!" Natsu was just about to explode.

"Fine, take this. Forgive me." Ifrit pulled out a card, held it between his index and middle fingers, then flicked it with his thumb. It transformed into an exquisite illustrated card.

"What's this?" Natsu asked curiously.

"Pour your magic into it." Ifrit handed him the card.

Natsu channeled magic into the card, and a phantom fire dragon suddenly appeared on it!

The red, oversized lizard-like fire dragon was lifelike. It walked across the card, lay down to sleep, and breathed fire.

"A fire dragon!" Natsu's eyes lit up.

"Yeah. I made it for you." Ifrit smiled. "How similar is it to the one you described?"

"Nine out of ten!" Natsu was deeply moved. "You'd be even better if you teased people less!"

Ifrit pushed up his glasses and thought, Who told you all to be so entertaining?

"Screech—"

The brakes shrieked for a long time.

"Natsu, Ifrit!" Erza had arrived.

"You actually left me behind!" Natsu complained.

"Ifrit clearly noticed, yet he didn't say anything," Gray said, puzzled.

"I had something to do," Ifrit replied.

Erza noticed Natsu's injuries and asked, "Natsu, what happened to you?"

"Ah, some weird guy latched onto me." Natsu scratched his head. "I think he was from that group that kidnapped Happy last time... Eisenwald?"

"You idiot!" Erza slapped Natsu to the ground in fury and shouted, "Our target is Eisenwald! Why did you let him get away?!"

"I didn't know!" Natsu looked innocent.

"Ifrit, you wouldn't make such a minor mistake, would you?" Gray looked at Ifrit.

"Ah, I'm a non-combat—" Before Ifrit could finish, his figure dissipated, leaving only his suitcase behind.

"..."

Veins bulged on everyone's foreheads.

"Wait, was all that fake? What about the card?"

Natsu cared more about the fire dragon card Ifrit had given him.

He reached into his pocket, and thankfully, it was still there!

Given Ifrit's personality, he had probably stuffed it into Natsu's pocket long ago. The whole act of handing it over just now had been a "deception."

He really was... the kind of guy people both loved and hated.

"Let's go. Since Ifrit chose to remain on the train, something major must happen on it!" Erza immediately called everyone aboard.

Gunuki Station.

Under Erigor's leadership, the Eisenwald guild hijacked the train.

Ifrit casually saved a staff member who had nearly been killed by Erigor's scythe.

No one noticed, and he returned to the train and took a seat.

They were heading to the same destination anyway. Of course, he preferred taking the train rather than riding in Erza's wildly speeding Magic Four-Wheeled Vehicle.

What if it overturned?

Natsu and the others were tough enough that it would not matter much, but he would actually get hurt.

Following them was far too dangerous!

Inside the train.

Erigor berated Kageyama. "You ran into those Fairy Tail brats and let them see Lullaby, yet you still let them escape!"

The way he said that...

Ifrit was reminded of the classic scene where the Nine-Headed Worm told Benbo'erba to go eliminate Tang Sanzang and his disciples.

After calming down, perhaps even Erigor felt that he had been asking too much. He said, "We can't let them interfere with our plan. Keep them at Oshibana Station!"

"Yes!"

The underlings answered loudly.

Erigor revealed an evil smile.

"Click." "Click."

Ifrit brazenly took photographs with his camera. This was firsthand material!

Oshibana Station.

The moment he stepped off the train—

Ifrit took a deep breath and heavily struck the ground with his cane.

"Hum."

An invisible, colorless wave of magic power spread outward.

He pulled out a snow-white handkerchief and wiped away his sweat. It had been a long time since he had released magic on this scale.

But Erigor and the others were Dark Mages. He could not gamble on their kindness, and since they had done this, the question of whether they were kind had already been answered.

"Rumble."

A massive monster suddenly appeared.

All the passengers fled in every direction in terror. The monster chased after the crowd, while the station guards hurried to stop it.

In an instant, more than half the station had emptied out.

But in Erigor and the others' eyes, it looked as though they had killed a few people and frightened everyone into fleeing.

"Thud."

Someone suddenly bumped into Ifrit, making him stagger.

"Huh? Did I run into something?" The mage who had gotten off the train scratched the back of his head, looking confused.

"Must've imagined it."

He headed toward the building and was just about to step onto the stairs.

"Bang!"

A thunderous gunshot rang out.

The mage's vision turned crimson. Before he could understand what had happened, he fell to the ground, blood pouring from the back of his head.

None of the others reacted at all.

Erigor led his underlings toward the spacious hall without looking back.

Ifrit slowly lowered his gun. He patted his shoulder, though no visible dust came off.

A military force was approaching from this direction.

"Stop." Ifrit raised his left hand, revealing a blue guild emblem.

"You're a Fairy Tail mage?" the commanding officer asked.

"That's right." Ifrit nodded. "Eisenwald, a Dark Guild, has already occupied the inside. There are many Dark Mages there. This is not something you can interfere with. Just handle the civilians outside."

"Thank you for the warning!" The officer said gratefully, then asked, "May I know your name?"

"Ifrit de la Valier."

"..."

The officer racked his brain.

Ifrit smiled. "No need to think too hard. I'm not famous."

"No!" The officer suddenly remembered. "You're the Elegant Magician! I remember now!"

The officer said excitedly, "That's right, it must be you! You may not be as famous as the Fire Dragon or the Fairy Queen, but you always maintain an elegant bearing and complete all kinds of requests with exceptional efficiency. You're only less famous because you've never made the newspapers through massive destruction!"

Ifrit nodded. "That's right, it's me. But for now, please hurry and fulfill your duties."

"Understood." The officer immediately led his men back.

"Rumble, rumble."

The Magic Four-Wheeled Vehicle raced over.

Erza got out of the vehicle, her legs going weak as she nearly fell to her knees.

She had consumed too much magic power.

Ifrit took out a card and flipped his wrist, turning it into a cup of blue liquid.

"It can replenish a little magic power." He handed it to Erza.

"If you're here, then there weren't any casualties, right?" Erza asked, then took the drink and gulped it down.

"Of course." Ifrit nodded.

"Then what's with that corpse?" Lucy pointed fearfully at the body lying on the ground in the distance.

"A Dark Mage." Ifrit took out another drink and handed it to Lucy.

"Thank you." Lucy accepted it. After hearing Ifrit's explanation, she did not suddenly become softhearted.

The world of mages was not a fairy tale, especially not the battles between Light Guilds and Dark Guilds, where casualties were inevitable.

Eisenwald's Dark Mages had been expelled from the guild alliance for taking numerous assassination jobs. They were criminals with the blood of countless innocents on their hands. Even if they were killed, they deserved no sympathy!

What was more, they had nearly caused even greater casualties!

If Ifrit had not been with them, with a Dark Guild carrying out an evil scheme, a magic flute that could take lives, and a station packed with people, what would have happened was simply too horrifying to imagine!
