Ning Rongrong's voice echoed in Jiang Chen's mind, carrying a hint of nervousness. "It... looks pretty miserable."
"Miserable, sure, but none of its ferocity has diminished."
Jiang Chen narrowed his eyes. "Look at those chains on its body. Senior Bo Saixi's seal is still working, but its aura has already recovered to nearly rank ninety-five."
"What do we do now? Go up and say hello?"
"Wait a little longer. Let's see what happens."
Jiang Chen pulled her behind a massive coral reef, concealing their auras as they quietly observed.
The Sub-Dragon seemed to be asleep.
Its chest rose and fell slowly. With every breath, a stream of black-green air spewed from its nostrils, stirring the seawater around it and carrying a foul stench.
After waiting about the time it took to drink a cup of tea, the Sub-Dragon still showed no sign of moving.
Ning Rongrong grew impatient. "Is it dead asleep? Should we just go in?"
"You have a point."
Jiang Chen rolled his shoulders. "Then let's go."
Just as he was about to rise, the sleeping Sub-Dragon abruptly opened its eyes.
They were vertical pupils, an eerie dark gold, like two burning embers that shone painfully bright in the dim seafloor.
Its eyes slowly turned, its gaze sweeping inch by inch across the bottom of Rift Valley before accurately locking onto the coral reef where Ning Rongrong was hiding.
Ning Rongrong's pupils suddenly contracted.
She felt the Sub-Dragon's gaze like a cold iron nail, firmly pinning her in place.
The next second, the Sub-Dragon suddenly let out a roar.
It was an incomparably deep dragon's roar, carrying countless grains of sand and bubbles as it exploded across the bottom of Rift Valley.
The surrounding rock walls trembled. The piles of white bones
