Could It Withstand Our Bullets?
The Blood Feast Armed Forces group is wanted by so many communities.
They've managed to live a carefree and happy life until now.
One reason is that they were all able-bodied men, and their equipment was also very good.
Secondly, they never stay in one place for long, thus avoiding being surrounded.
The Wilderness is so vast.
They usually operate in a dispersed area, plundering the resources of one area before moving on to the next, and then starting to plunder again once they have almost exhausted their supplies.
This is also why the Blood Feast Armed Forces have survived for so long without being jointly wiped out by those settlements.
The Wilderness is too vast.
Those settlements didn't have enough manpower and resources to support them in hunting down these troublemakers in the Wilderness.
The cost of recovering their assets would be too high.
In any case, the Blood Feast Armed Forces wouldn't dare attack large settlements.
They only dared to target small to medium-sized settlements and hunting and trading caravans in the wild.
It can only be said that the Blood Feast Armed Forces struck a good balance; although they were insane, they weren't the kind of irrational madness.
The Blood Feast Armed Forces have roamed the Wilderness for so long because they only prey on the weak.
I haven't suffered many losses in the long run.
Unexpectedly, I suffered a hidden loss this time.
"What did you say? You discovered a large expanse of unpolluted land with a water source that can be cultivated?"
"If you deceive me, you know what will happen."
"The leader of the Blood Feast Armed Forces said in disbelief."
Greed and ruthlessness flashed in his eyes.
Since that devastating blow, the entire world has been dragged into hell.
The surface water resources and land were polluted first, the crops withered, and only the specially stored food was edible.
Several decades have passed.
Groundwater resources have also been polluted.
To drink clean water free from radiation, they must go through various filtration and purification processes. Even so, this water still carries many unspeakable side effects.
They simply had no other choice.
If given a choice, who would choose to eat the flesh of a creature that is clearly mutated?
They have lived a life worse than death for so long in this hopeless world.
This was the first time he had ever heard of such a place in the world.
"Impossible!"
The Blood Feast Armed Forces stood up. "If such a piece of land truly existed, those people in the central settlements would have already seized it. How could it be our turn?"
The leader stared intently at the group of men who had returned in fright to report the news, half believing and half doubting. He also wanted to believe that such a paradise truly existed in the world.
But after so many years of living a life of constant fleeing and wandering, he had seen countless places, all of which were craters and pits left behind by explosions.
This is a global, sweeping attack.
Only a few areas were less affected and are now occupied by the force in the central stronghold.
Where else isn't radiation-covered?
"Boss, we wouldn't dare lie to you, we really saw it with our own eyes!"
"Yes, that green, vibrant plain was also attacked."
"The other side has grenades, and there are a lot of them, probably a group of several dozen."
"We sensed something was wrong, so we immediately ran back to report."
"Unfortunately, a few of our brothers were still hit by that group."
The leader of the Blood Feast clenched his fists; patches of skin on his hands were beginning to fester.
He scratched it nonchalantly and peeled off a piece of rotten skin.
His body had long been damaged by radiation, leaving him unable to have offspring. His body, like a rotten, withered tree, was on the verge of collapse at any moment.
Therefore, he became increasingly arrogant, living only for the moment.
A few years ago, he might have been overjoyed to hear this news, but now, he's not as happy as he imagined.
He has lost his future, he has lost hope.
If he could leave behind a descendant, he might fight tooth and nail to seize this land.
The leader of the Blood Feast was still pondering.
After repeatedly questioning and confirming that such a place truly existed, the second-in-command of the Blood Feast was immediately filled with excitement.
Unlike the eldest.
He has one descendant.
The thought that after he seized that land, his children wouldn't have to live the same life of constant danger as him, and would be free from the harm of radiation and able to live healthy lives.
He could not possibly give up that land.
Seeing his leader's hesitation, he spoke up, "That piece of land hasn't been discovered by anyone else yet, and from what they've said, the other side only has grenades, which doesn't mean their equipment is better than ours."
"If we sneak in and take down their top brass, how can they possibly resist us?"
The others echoed this sentiment.
That's a scarce water resource; land is secondary.
As long as there is clean water, they will risk their lives for it.
"That..."
The leader of the Blood Feast still had to consider the opinions of his other subordinates.
Seeing that everyone else wanted that piece of land.
The leader of the Blood Feast had no choice but to compromise.
"Notify everyone to prepare to head to that location and capture it before it is discovered by other settlements."
Everyone in the Blood Feast Armed Forces began to move.
Just as we were getting ready to leave.
The group of men, their faces filled with terror and extreme panic, scrambled to their leader's feet, even tripping and falling because they couldn't stop in time.
"Boss, boss, something terrible has happened!"
The leader frowned. Just as they were about to take action, this sudden incident was not a good sign. "What happened? Why are you all so scared?"
"Did the people from that settlement discover us?"
"Is it still those mutated creatures attacking again?"
Some mutated creatures that congregate, such as wolves, dogs, and rats, will gather together and attack their settlements.
They are human prey.
Conversely, humans are also their prey.
The hunt and the counter-hunting have always been a constant in this Wilderness.
"What's your rush!" The second-in-command kicked the messenger away impatiently. "Are the weapons we have just for show?"
"Boss, boss, a huge mutated Spider is coming this way!"
The man swallowed hard, still gesturing with his hands in utter terror as he spoke.
The others burst into laughter.
Boss: "Huge? How huge could it be to scare you like this?"
Second-in-command, "I thought it was something serious, but it's just a mutated Spider. Even if a pack of mutated wolves came, we could make sure they never returned."
"A Spider? Can it withstand our bullets?"
"Even if they can withstand bullets, can they withstand our artillery shells?"
The crowd laughed, then left the camp; they wanted to see just how big the Spider was.
The Spider, as tall as a single floor and entirely white, stood out starkly against the reddish-gray Wilderness.
