Wouldn't You Stay and Enjoy the Show?
Magic show: The magic trick of making a person disappear.
"Aaaaaaaaahhhhhh!"
The city lords suddenly found themselves in an unfamiliar place, and screamed in fright, only to be startled by each other's screams.
City No. 3 Lord: "Aaaaaah, holy crap!"
"Where am I? What is this place? How did I get here?"
City Lord No. 1 was the first to react. He looked at City Lord No. 2, who was writhing and crawling on the ground with all four limbs.
A terrifying thought formed in my mind.
He glanced back at the container in the center of the room, and his face suddenly turned black and white with fright.
"Here, here."
He immediately covered his nose.
No, he has to get out of here before he inhales the toxins.
Try to breathe as little as possible, but you must breathe quickly.
City Lord No. 1 immediately started running, but after running a few steps, he suddenly looked at City Lord No. 2, who was twisting and crawling ahead of him at a fairly fast speed, and was about to crawl out of the room.
A question arose in my mind.
Although crawling on all fours requires two more arms than running on two legs, humans are ultimately better suited to walking upright on two legs.
Using all four limbs does not increase speed; in fact, it may slow down the vehicle because they become cumbersome.
The second city lord couldn't possibly be unaware of these things.
However, the opponent still chose this disadvantageous method of movement in such a crucial time.
There must be some consideration behind that.
City Lord No. 1 observed City Lord No. 2 as he ran.
Compared to standing and running, crawling on all fours causes the body to be lowered, almost lying on the ground.
etc...
The city lord of City Number One had a flash of inspiration.
Could it be that although the poisonous gas did indeed permeate the entire space, it was still poisonous gas and might float in the upper atmosphere, resulting in a greater amount of poisonous gas being contained in the highest spaces?
The lower the concentration of toxic gas in the air, the lower the concentration of toxic gas.
After figuring it out, City Lord No. 1 suddenly dropped to the ground and crawled around the room on all fours.
After realizing they had been brought to this poisonous room, the other city lords screamed in terror, their fear of death causing them to completely lose their rational thinking.
In addition, they never consciously exercise, and their bodies, which have enjoyed a life of luxury for many years, simply cannot withstand such a sudden change.
Some people collapsed to the ground, their limbs too weak to even get up.
Some people, as if they had already sensed the poison entering their bodies, suddenly clutched their hearts in shock and began to gasp for breath.
The more they gasped for breath, the closer they felt to death.
But they couldn't stop.
And so they fell into a vicious cycle.
Although the City No. 3 Lord was so frightened that his mind went blank, he saw several city lords running outside and instinctively followed behind them.
Because his brain had stopped thinking, he subconsciously followed suit when he saw Number 1 and Number 2 crawling on the ground.
Behind him followed City No. 8 Lord.
City No. 8 Lord was running on two legs and was quite fast. He quickly caught up with No. 3, but when he saw the three of them crawling on the ground...
After hesitating for a moment, he decisively chose the same approach as them.
Number 2 is the person who knows this place best; what if there are other considerations involved?
In short, following along is definitely the right thing to do.
In order to buy time, the city lord of City No. 2 built the building very deep, to the sixth basement level.
The elevator has been destroyed by Skywing A.
Fortunately, number 2 had left a safe passage in a concealed location.
Crawling down the long corridor, he felt for the first time a deep hatred for himself for having built this place so large.
The No. 2 city lord's face was contorted with rage, his eyes revealing extreme fear and terror.
He didn't want to die!
After adapting to using all four limbs to move forward, he crawled faster and faster.
Four people escaped.
1.
Skywing A strolled leisurely behind them.
This stands in stark contrast to their disheveled and embarrassed state.
It's like a person walking behind while four disabled animals run ahead.
2.
3.
4.
"What a pity, aren't you going to stay and watch their performance?"
"Don't you want to see despair on other people's faces?"
"The expressions on those people's faces right now are absolutely the deepest despair, the most genuine fear, pain, struggle, and collapse—all these emotions erupting together."
"That's the best expression, even the best actors would struggle to portray!"
"Aren't you going to stay and enjoy it properly?"
To them, Skywing A's voice sounded like a death knell from the devil.
Their faces showed even greater terror, and they crawled even faster, as if trying to escape from the demon's side.
But Skywing A seemed to be just strolling around, yet she stayed close behind them at a comfortable distance.
The second city lord dared not breathe deeply.
However, the strenuous exercise caused him to experience oxygen deficiency, forcing him to increase his breathing rate.
But the more he breathed, the more poisonous gas he inhaled.
The city lord of number two wore an awkward expression that was neither a cry nor a laugh. Why hadn't he thought of leaving himself a way out and letting those researchers develop the antidote while they were at it?
Or, to be even more cautious, he might not do it himself, but instead encourage others to do it, letting those poor wretches do it.
He wouldn't have ended up like this.
Why wasn't that person afraid of poison?
City Lord Number 2 has already climbed to the safety passage.
He rushed over and opened the door using facial recognition.
Several city lords who followed behind also squeezed in.
The city lord number 2 slammed the door shut.
Then he collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath.
City Lord Number 1: "There's no poison gas here?"
City Lord Number 2 shook his head.
That's enough preparation; who would release poison gas into the evacuation escape routes?
He's not that depraved.
The others quickly took deep breaths as well.
City No. 8 Lord: "It seems the others didn't come along."
The second city lord's eyes darkened. "We're not safe now either. Who knows if that demon will drag us back just to see us break down?"
He said this through gritted teeth, as if he hated Skywing A to the core.
He completely forgot who wanted to see Skywing A's expression of pain and struggle; he himself was the one who took pleasure in the suffering of others.
But he clearly cannot reflect on his own mistakes.
The City No. 3 Lord got up. "Where's the antidote? You released the poison; there should be an antidote, right?"
The gazes of City No. 8 Lord and City Lord No. 1 both turned towards them.
Clearly, they are also very concerned about this.
After all, it concerns their lives.
The Second City Lord's face turned pale, then flushed. "There's no antidote."
