Just having that gaze sweep over him made Zhang Dong feel as if he had been seen through completely, all the way to the depths of his soul, with none of his secrets hidden.
But he knew it was only an illusion, brought on by the enormous gap in their strength.
After the Thirteenth Divine General reported Zhang Dong's situation to him, for some reason he'd suddenly taken an interest and decided to personally bring him to the Virtual Universe Company for the assessment.
Perhaps because he'd been poor for far too long and was under tremendous pressure to repay his debts, the Ganwu Kingdom Master dearly hoped that a supreme powerhouse would emerge from his Universe Country.
"Do your best," the Ganwu Kingdom Master said briefly.

This was the advantage of testing inside the Virtual Universe: they could be transported directly, without spending an eternity traveling.
Otherwise, even at fifty times the speed of light, it would take a very long time to fly from the Ganwu Universe Kingdom's headquarters to the Virtual Universe Company. Divine Kingdom Teleportation would be faster, of course.
"You should have already attempted the Trial Towers during the Genius Battle." The Ganwu Kingdom Master pointed to them. "If you can reach the third tower, you'll qualify to enter the Core Layer."
The third tower represented the standard of the End Realm.
The fourth represented the Heaven and Earth Secret Realm, with each subsequent tower following in the same progression. Anyone who cleared all of the sixth tower would surpass the average level of past residents of the Primordial Realm.
Cosmic Level residents of the Primordial Realm generally reached only the second level of the sixth tower.
As for the seventh tower, anyone who cleared it entirely would have the strength to conquer the Universe Level Original Tongtian Mountain.
"The third tower?" Zhang Dong studied the Ganwu Kingdom Master's expression. He knew the man's expectations for him were definitely higher than just reaching the third tower.
Would a High Universe Venerable personally bring someone here just so he could enter the End Realm?
Zhang Dong flashed forward and entered a Trial Tower.

The short figure nodded, finding that quite reasonable.
To reach such a level without ever having gone to Chaos City—after going there, he might even be able to make a run at the Primordial Realm.
"He's reached the third tower." The short figure pointed toward the Trial Tower. "He doesn't seem to be under much pressure."
Zhang Dong still hadn't used a weapon.

The Universe Level Primordial Realm Qualification Battle was held only once every hundred years, the Domain Lord Level battle once every thousand years, and the Realm Lord Level battle once every hundred thousand years.

The Cosmic Venerable named Sha Yue said nothing, keeping his eyes fixed on Zhang Dong inside the Trial Tower.

It was still a herd of Bloody Mammoths, but they were far stronger than those in the previous towers. As ten thousand mammoths thundered forward, the entire desert trembled!
Zhang Dong drew his blade and charged straight into the middle of the herd.
In that flash, even time seemed to fall out of joint. Blade shadows rose and fell in an endless succession, instantly slaughtering all but one of the ten thousand Bloody Mammoths.
