Coming to the Rescue

Although Gulanxiu had avoided traveling at full speed to conceal his tracks, he was still moving at around 300 kilometers per second.

In fact, if he hadn't been trying to hide, he could have gone more than ten times faster. Even this speed was hampered by the immense gravity of Bloodfall Continent.

In the vacuum of the cosmic starry sky, Gulanxiu could accelerate to tens of thousands of kilometers per second at full power.

At that incredible speed, it took him only a little over half a day to reach the edge of Blood Spirit Grassland. With his keen eyesight, he could already make out a towering city hundreds of thousands of kilometers away.

That city was the destination of his journey: Danyang City.

Danyang City was a World City bordering Blood Spirit Grassland. Gulanxiu had just acquired these Bloodfall Crystals and needed to find somewhere quiet to refine them. Blood Spirit Grassland was bound to be unsettled for some time, and it was no longer a suitable place for him to stay. Danyang City, the closest city to him, was therefore the best choice.

Just then, Gulanxiu noticed a battle taking place ahead. He concealed his presence and stealthily made his way toward it. A moment later, he arrived at the scene.

A pack of blue Wild Beasts in the form of giant wolves was surrounding a human squad.

Both sides were at the Cosmic Level.

There were more than a hundred blue giant wolves, while the human squad had only twelve members. They were at an overwhelming disadvantage in numbers.

The twelve formed a circle around a Star Level youth. Even though the sheer difference in numbers had put them on the back foot, they didn't dare retreat an inch.

Fortunately, the twelve worked well together, and their average level was somewhat higher than that of the giant wolves, so they were still managing to hold on.

But Gulanxiu knew it was only a matter of time. Outside the ring of combat stood a ten-meter-long silver giant wolf, a crescent-shaped mark on its brow, watching with arrogant poise.

From the aura of the wolf, it seemed to be at Cosmic Level 9. That was a difficult gap to overcome for the Silver Armor Guards, whose highest cultivation was only Cosmic Level 6.

After all, not everyone could fight across multiple levels like the geniuses of the Human Race. Generally speaking, anyone who could defeat an opponent just one minor level above them was already considered exceptionally strong.

And the wolf wasn't an ordinary Cosmic Level 9. Gulanxiu could sense the faint aura of a domain around it.

As soon as the Silver Giant Wolf finished speaking, it let out another howl. "Awooo!"

The hundred or so giant wolves attacking the Silver Armor Guards went berserk at the sound. They no longer cared if they were injured and threw themselves into the attack.

With their overwhelming numbers, the wolves killed two Silver Armor Guards in mere moments.

The guards were commendable. Even after losing two comrades, they didn't retreat a single step, desperately shielding the Star Level youth.

Seeing this, Gulanxiu knew it was time to act. Otherwise, the humans would be wiped out.

Gulanxiu shot forward, and a yellow-brown domain instantly enveloped the battlefield.

The giant wolves and guards fighting below suddenly felt their bodies grow heavy, as though a massive mountain had come crashing down on them, making it difficult to move.

The youth guarded at the center fared even worse. The immense pressure instantly forced him to the ground.

Gulanxiu swung the Great Axe in his hand, and a streak of axe light shot out.

The moment it left the blade, the axe light split into more than a hundred streaks. Each of the giant wolves attacking the guards had one coming for it.

A flicker of surprise crossed the eyes of the Silver Giant Wolf, which had been watching coldly from the sidelines.

Gulanxiu had gotten so close, yet it hadn't sensed him at all. It had only detected him when he made his move.

Despite its surprise, the giant wolf reacted quickly. A pale green domain spread outward from it, and in an instant, it merged with Gulanxiu's domain.

At the same time, green wind blades shot out from within the domain, meeting the axe light Gulanxiu had unleashed.
