It was deep into the night, and hazy moonlight shone down.
In the marsh, a colossal monster, like a snake and yet like a dragon, raised its enormous head toward the moon and flicked its forked tongue in and out.
It was an eerie, terrifying sight, as if the monster were worshipping the moon as it cultivated.
And so, another five days passed.
Over those five days, Bai Chuan gradually left the crocodiles' territory and reentered the river channel, which had returned to its former state.
Had he not done so, he estimated it would have taken him several more days.
During that time, he'd also finished scanning the dried bat and extracted its ability model.
Unfortunately, he didn't have enough points at the moment, and he still had to prepare for entering the sea, so he'd leave that aside for now.
As he left the dense forest and marsh behind, the view before him suddenly opened up.
There were no
