Bo Saixi worshipped Poseidon from birth and accepted her duties as High Priestess even when they required her death. Her God-Bestowed Sea God martial soul originally bound her to a sacrificial fate: she was supposed to give her life to open the final trial for Poseidon's chosen successor, rather than become a god herself 248 254.

She belonged to the same celebrated trio of Peerless Douluo as Qian Daoliu and Tang Chen. Their old romantic pact linked acceptance of feelings to becoming a god first. Bo Saixi favored Tang Chen, but he disappeared for decades without understanding her intentions 262 263.
