First, let me report how it's doing.

All right, back to the story.
There's no doubt that this is a national-fortune-style novel.
I started out as a reader before becoming an author, and I've read plenty of national-fortune stories myself.
But how should I put it? The national-fortune novels I've read...
Either they start with a lot of hype, then go off the rails halfway through, sometimes even turning the protagonist into a side character with no presence at all...
Or they update like crazy at first, then seem to run out of things to write after a few hundred thousand words and start dragging things out, doling out chapters by the spoonful.
It feels like such a shame. These stories could have had huge worlds and some truly amazing developments.
How did the Forbidden Land come to be?
Who's controlling the livestreams?
Why are the contestants being sent into the Forbidden Land?
Is it really just to solve the problem of resource shortages?
There's so much room to explore.
So, on a whim, I started writing this book.
With the outline as it stands, I could easily write two or three million words.
I've also finished outlining the first five hundred thousand words in detail.
All that's left is to write them.
Haha, I wonder if my editor read my outline and decided to put the book on premium tomorrow.
The story just happens to be at a turning point.
The first hundred thousand words mainly introduce the Forbidden Land and establish the protagonist's character.
They show his change from cautious at the beginning to calm and composed.
They also introduce some of the Forbidden Land's rules.
Bit by bit.
If I were to compare it to a game, the first hundred thousand words are like the player entering the game world, getting familiar with their skills, and fighting a few weak monsters in the wilderness.
The story coming up next is like the player entering their first dungeon!
It'll also reveal more about the Forbidden Land.
