When Yan Chihuo reached the door with two skulls, the jade pendant in his hand emitted a beam of green light that shone on the skull on the left.

The skull spat out a cloud of black mist, enveloping Yan Chihuo. After a bout of dizziness and blurred vision, Yan Chihuo found himself in a secret chamber.

There were three people inside, all dressed in the Cloud Soaring Sect's robes. Two of them were only at the Body Tempering Late Stage, but the black-robed elder among them had an aura no weaker than that of Iron Sword and the others. He was actually a Qi Gathering Stage cultivator as well.

One of the Body Tempering Stage cultivators stepped forward and asked Yan Chihuo, "Who are you?"

Yan Chihuo replied, "I'm a disciple of Elder Ping Qi. My name is Yan Chihuo."

The black-robed elder was taken aback. "Ping Qi took on a disciple? That's rare. But he doesn't have a quota to send anyone here."

Yan Chihuo hurriedly handed over the jade pendant. "This is Elder Yang Chenglin's token."

The black-robed elder said, "Yang Chenglin does have a quota, but why would he give it to you? That's even stranger."

Yan Chihuo said, "I did Elder Yang a favor, and he gave it to me as a reward."

"Looks like you did Yang Chenglin quite a big favor," said the black-robed elder. "Never mind. The token is genuine. Yan Chihuo, this Ten Thousand Bone Cave is a separate space. Three years from now, this jade pendant will teleport you out. If you lose or damage it, you'll have to work here like a good, obedient laborer until you earn another pendant. Only then can you leave."

Yan Chihuo was slightly startled. *So this jade pendant really can teleport me out.
