Yuan Jinyan's face darkened with rage again. This time, even Yan Chihuo worried she might suddenly attack. A cultivator at the Body Forging Late Stage striking in a fit of fury was no trifling matter, but Qing Ling was completely unconcerned.
Yuan Jinyan snorted, stamped her foot, and left the room.
After she was gone, Qing Ling cast another hand seal at the stone door. A beam of light rose from it and fell upon Yan Chihuo. A moment later, it withdrew.
"All right. From now on, only you will be able to enter this room. The marks left by Gan Mingchi, Yuan Jinyan, and the others have already been erased." Then he taught Yan Chihuo a set of hand seals for opening the door before leaving.
After Qing Ling left, Yan Chihuo began looking around the room. Though the cabinets and chests were shut tight, he could still tell they had recently been rummaged through. It seemed someone had been searching for something.
That was why he hadn't agreed when Yuan Jinyan offered to tidy up. He just didn't know whether Qing Ling had noticed as well, or whether he had simply followed instructions.
The chests and cabinets in the room held only everyday things of little value. What Yuan Jinyan was looking for certainly wasn't among them. Perhaps she had already taken it? Or perhaps it wasn't here?
Yan Chihuo refused to give up. Light shimmered in his eyes as he activated his Spiritual Eye. With this ability, he could see several inches into even the stone walls. Yet he was secretly startled: outside, he could see through stone walls more than a foot thick, but here, he could not even see half that far. The stone walls in Ten Thousand Bone Cave truly had something unusual about
