Hearing the boar "monster's" shrill, agonized screams go on and on, Ul and the middle-aged man couldn't help squeezing their legs together and shivering.

Although the boar "monster" and Ul's group weren't the same species, some kinds of pain didn't discriminate between species...

The boar "monster" struggled desperately, trying to pull the part of its body that had been pierced by the Earth Spike free.

But every attempt ended in failure.

Because of the way a boar's body was built, it was impossible for it to escape the tip of the Earth Spike unharmed.

And as the boar "monster" struggled frantically, its injuries didn't lessen in the slightest. Instead, the harder it strained, the worse its wounds became...

At one moment.

With a faint tearing sound,

a long, narrow object suddenly dropped from beneath the boar "monster's" belly, and blood splattered onto the ground...

The middle-aged man: "..."

The boar "monster": "..."

At that second!

Time seemed to suddenly come to a standstill.

The entire farm fell into complete silence.

One second later,

a scream so shrill it nearly broke apart pierced the sky...

The boar "monster" rolled wildly on the ground in pain, its whole body trembling. Its limbs kept reaching for its wound, but because of the way its body was built, it couldn't touch the spot no matter how hard it tried.

But the less it could touch it, the more the wound seemed to hurt; and the more it hurt, the more it wanted to touch it...

Seeing the boar "monster" in such a miserable state,

Ul and the middle-aged man suddenly felt a strange chill creeping toward their crotches, and squeezed their legs together even tighter.

The situation had completely exceeded Ul's expectations!

He'd only meant to kill the boar "monster," not take any interest in its manhood.

This accident was something neither of them had wanted...

Still, he was partly responsible, so Ul felt he had a duty to make up for his mistake by striking once more.

All pigs had to die eventually.

And some pigs needed a little help.

Ul pressed his palms together and quickly began constructing a Magic Circle while the boar "monster" was still rolling around in pain...

Lower-tier magic—Earth Spike.

This was the only "lower-tier magic" Ul currently knew, and the most powerful offensive magic he had.

A yellow-brown Magic Circle appeared on the ground beneath the boar. Magic power gathered, and soon a sharp earthen spike shot out of the circle, piercing straight into the boar "monster's" body.

The boar "monster" let out a pained cry and glared fiercely back at Ul and the middle-aged man. Then it turned and ran out of the farm.

The boar, now transformed into a "monster," was highly intelligent. It knew full well that staying here in its current state would be extremely dangerous. If it wanted to live, it had no choice but to run.

But it had already memorized the two men's faces. It swore that once its wounds healed, it would get revenge for what happened today sooner or later...

The boar "monster" had fled!

Compared with how lively it had been when it arrived, the boar "monster" was far less "nimble" as it fled!

Seeing the wounded boar "monster" flee the farm, the middle-aged man finally couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief!

Just as he was about to thank Ul properly,

he suddenly saw Ul's figure flash as he swiftly chased after the boar "monster"...

"Wait, Mage, there's no need to chase it..."

Seeing Ul's departing back, the middle-aged man hurriedly called out.

The task he'd posted was only to drive the boar away. Whether or not it could be killed made little difference to him.

Unfortunately, there was no way his shouts could reach Ul.

This boar wasn't an ordinary boar.

Ul understood the middle-aged man's thinking perfectly. He had posted the task simply to drive the boar away so that it wouldn't come back to destroy his farm.
