The news struck like a bolt from the blue. The Gnoll King fell silent for a moment before coming back to his senses.

"Contact the Argali, Kobolds, and Harpies. Tell them to deal with the Skeleton Legion!"

Seeing the Skeleton Legion sweep through the northern lands they had seized from the Porcupine Kingdom and Kobold Kingdom, the Gnoll King made a decision he was loath to make: he asked neighboring countries, including the Argali Kingdom, for help.

This meant giving up the region and the fruits of years of development.

It had been one of his greatest achievements. Now it had become a stain on his rule.

But he had no choice. The Crimson Kingdom posed a greater threat than the Skeleton Legion, and he had to defend the Gnolls' homeland.

As for reporting it to the Church of Light, if that would have worked, the skeletons in Blue Bay City would have been cleansed long ago. They wouldn't be invading the Gnoll Kingdom now.

"Gnolls can't be trusted. They want us to clear the way for them? Not a chance!"

The Argali and Gnolls were enemies. The Gnolls had risen to power by annexing much of the Argali's territory, killing, abusing, and enslaving countless Argali.

As the Skeleton Legion attacked the Gnoll Kingdom, the Argali cheered. They had no intention of sending aid; instead, they invaded the Gnoll Kingdom to reclaim their lost lands.

"Skeletons? What do they have to do with us? What use is land without mineral deposits?"

The Gnoll Kingdom had swallowed what the Kobold Kingdom considered barren land. The Kobolds were happy to let them have it.

They had no interest in that territory, no desire to fight the Gnoll Kingdom over it, and no intention of sending troops to compete with the Skeleton Legion
