Odd was fine, as long as they weren't undead Forest Elves.
They were a servant army brought by their Myconid allies, and they believed there wouldn't be any problems.
Like Medivh, the Spore Queen preferred to stay somewhere safe and command from a distance.
Information sent back by the Myconids on the front lines had given them a clear picture of the Indigenous Forest Elves' situation on the Tarot Plane.
The crisis had begun when the Forest Elves declared war on the Indigenous human kingdom over the slave trade.
While the two kingdoms were at war, the Indigenous human kingdom paid a hefty sum to buy off the Trolls on the other side of the Forest Elf Kingdom, leaving the Forest Elves caught between two fronts.
When one side was down, everyone piled on—that was the nature of every race. As the Forest Elf Kingdom found itself at a disadvantage, its neighbor, the Orc Kingdom, declared war on the Forest Elves.
Then the jungle Lizardman Kingdom joined the war, hoping to prove that they were the true rulers of the forest.
Attacked by four kingdoms at once, the Forest Elf Kingdom was on the brink of destruction. So when the Spore Queen contacted them, the Forest Elves of the Tarot Plane immediately helped the Myconids clear a path and guided them into the Tarot Plane.
This wasn't an invasion, but the war was no less difficult. The Spore Jungle and the Forest Elf Kingdom had to face attacks from four kingdoms of equal strength at the same time.
"Medivh, lead the skeleton army against the Orc Kingdom and Lizardman Kingdom forces."
The Spore Queen didn't make Medivh fight his own kind. She left the human and Troll kingdoms to herself, and sent Medivh to fight the Orcs and Lizardmen.
