Background

Liang Qisheng was originally named Liang Yaozu. After transmigrating into this world, he was rescued and nursed back to health by a mountain herb-gathering elder. To sever ties with his former life, he renamed himself “Liang Qisheng,” meaning “restarting life,” and agreed to care for the elder in his old age and arrange his burial. The elder taught him herb gathering and the Black Tiger Fist. 1

Following the elder’s death, Liang avenged him by killing three thugs, burning their hideout, and offering their heads at the elder’s grave. The killings awakened an exhilaration and violent instinct he recognized within himself. 1

He continued gathering herbs rather than fleeing suspicion, using the elder’s teachings to survive in the wilderness, accumulate wealth, and avoid exposing himself to Shiwu County’s powerful families and martial halls before he was strong enough. 3

Liang’s body grows markedly as his cultivation advances. He was originally around 1.80 meters tall, reached roughly 1.85 meters during his early Flesh Refining period, and later approached 1.87 meters with a powerful, compact build. 13 35
