Number One opened the email.
It was sent by Huan Sha King, asking why Li Dui had been staying in the Blood Luo World for so long.
For core members at the Universe level, training missions could only be accepted ten times per century. Many complained that there were too few missions and earning points was slow.
But Li Dui had been holed up in the Blood Luo World for over a hundred years.
Huan Sha King was surely asking on behalf of the Venerable. Li Dui had to tell her that he had successfully fused a second Blood Luo Crystal and was now working on fusing a third. Once he succeeded, he would leave and submit the mission.
At that point, Number One could show off the triple gene and conveniently earn 100,000 points on the side. How satisfying.
As for Blood Luo Medals, he had hunted over seventy World Masters in the past twenty-plus years and had a pile of them already. He would just hand one in when the time came.
Huan Sha King had no issue with Li Dui's explanation. At her level, she understood Blood Luo Crystals well. She naturally knew how much the blood-killing force of the Blood Luo World helped with fusing them. She gave Li Dui a few words of advice, telling him to be careful and not to slack off. She also mentioned that the Venerable thought highly of him, urging him to train hard and break through the twelve levels of the Tongtian Bridge soon.
Li Dui replied that he would certainly work hard and not let the Venerable or Huan Sha King down.
In truth, he had no mind to perfect the third blade right now. After his main body settled on Duhan Star, that sense of freedom from breaking free of constraints had changed his state of mind.
So much so that he could clearly feel he was more prone to inspiration and possessed better creativity than before.
Originally, his consciousness was always split into three parts. One part never stopped comprehending laws on the hula hoop.
One part controlled Number Three's daily activities—traveling, searching for targets, and so on. Occasionally, when inspiration struck, he would halt Number Three's actions and divert that part to comprehend teleportation. When hunting was needed, he would stop everything else and focus entirely on battle.
There was also a small part used for basic vigilance and keeping an eye on important emails, messages, and the like.
Of course, unless there was a special situation where he actively disconnected, Li Dui was always linked to the "ring." This had become a subconscious habit. If he only maintained the connection without comprehending, the drain on his consciousness was very low.
Recently, feeling his creativity had increased, Li Dui sometimes adjusted the part of his consciousness dedicated to comprehending laws to studying teleportation when Number Three was on long flights.
Comprehending laws, creating secret techniques—all of it had to make way for teleportation.
Once he grasped teleportation, he could act with impunity not only in the Blood Luo World but even in the cosmic starry sky, as long as he didn't provoke an Undying King with spatial law mastery higher than his own and the ability to seal space. He could basically escape alive.
Perhaps because his Universe-level body and soul were simply too weak to match his level of insight, Li Dui had been blocked by a thin windowpane for over twenty years.
It really wasn't time to advance to Domain Lord yet. Li Dui suppressed the irritation in his heart. He treated it as a kind of tempering for his state of mind.
After handling things more or less, Number Three left the spaceship, taking Number Two in the world ring along for the journey.
The Blood Luo World's heritage had withered, lacking profound training guidance and truly exquisite secret techniques.
But fighting the elite World Masters of the Blood Luo World still benefited Li Dui greatly. They all pursued their limits based on their own insights. Amid their piles of mediocrity, detours, extremes, and errors, flashes of brilliance would always emerge.
In the large bedroom of the Duhan Star estate, Li Dui stared at the starry sky through the transparent dome, feeling very frustrated.
He let out a deep sigh. Why was teleportation so hard!
Forget it. Number Two hadn't found a target yet anyway. He'd first have Number One log into the Virtual Universe and find Gaido to play around. That kid's family business involved the entertainment industry, so they had the most fun tricks.
Unknown Land.
Inside the most towering hall among a stretch of magnificent buildings.
A middle-aged man in gray robes with a single horn on his head sat cross-legged on a high platform.
Below the platform, a gaunt man with a nose like a bird's beak gazed with reverence at the horned middle-aged man and the blood-red spherical object floating in his palm.
The horned man said, "Remember, never attempt to fuse the Sacred Blood, or you will surely die. You only need to find a place with dense blood-killing energy, go a hundred li underground, and carve out a secret chamber. Arrange the required auxiliary materials properly. Then place the Sacred Blood inside. Every ten thousand years, a batch of Blood Luo Crystals will be produced. Depending on the concentration of blood-killing energy in the area, each batch yields anywhere from dozens to hundreds of crystals."
As he spoke, he pulled out a book. With a wave of his hand, the blood-red sphere and the book together floated slowly toward the bird-nosed gaunt man.
The bird-nosed man carefully took them and put them away. "Thank you, Teacher, for the gift. Your disciple will handle matters diligently and will not fail your cultivation."
The horned middle-aged man nodded. "I have many disciples, but few have become gods. You are good. I hope you will work with us, and one day, strive for the Blood Luo World's... Hmm? Another one! What a fine outer-world demon."
The bird-nosed man saw his teacher frown mid-sentence and mutter two baffling words. Curious, he asked, "Teacher, what happened? What has displeased you so?"
The horned middle-aged man took out a communicator. "I just received a message. Another World Master has fallen to the outer-world demon's blade."
"An outer-world demon killed a World Master? Have they invaded again?" The bird-nosed man was greatly alarmed.
"What's the panic! It's just one outer-world demon. If the Blood Luo World weren't so vast, and by the time I got the message and rushed over, he'd have long fled, could a mere Domain-level have killed 73 World Masters in such a short time?" The horned middle-aged man scolded his disciple harshly for losing his composure at the mention of an outer-world demon.
Domain-level? The bird-nosed man calmed down. At first, he thought the outer-world demons had launched a large-scale invasion again, nearly scaring him to death. He had only just become a god and hadn't even had time to enjoy it.
If it was just a Domain-level, it didn't matter. Killing World Masters? What was that? When he was still a World Master, he could easily kill ordinary World Masters too. And now he was an Undying God.
"Teacher, your disciple was merely startled by how bold this outer-world demon is." The bird-nosed man said sheepishly.
The horned middle-aged man ignored his disciple and worked the communicator for a while.
After a long moment, he finally spoke, "I have sent messages to the various elders. We cannot allow this demon to run rampant like this. I have requested the other elders to dispatch their Undying God subordinates to patrol their respective territories. Once this outer-world demon is found, kill him on the spot. Whoever brings back everything on him will be credited with a great merit. Sa'er, you go too. Put aside other matters for now."
The bird-nosed man, Sa'er, said solemnly, "Your disciple obeys. I will investigate carefully. If I encounter him, I will surely slay this demon."
Killing a Domain-level to earn a great merit—where else could he find such a good deal? Sa'er, exiting the hall, studied the battle footage his teacher had given him carefully.
He wasn't afraid of stumbling and being killed by a Domain-level. That kind of thing was impossible. He was just worried that this outer-world demon might have some powerful tricks and escape from his grasp.
