The three avatars converged.

They boarded the spaceship, left the cloud layer, and accelerated toward the distance.

Vico World Lord's strength was limited. The ultimate move he had used at the end might have seemed astonishing to ordinary natives.

But to Li Dui, his grasp and application of the Law of Space had been nothing special.

His technique was crude, but the way he had approached it gave Li Dui tremendous inspiration.

So it could be done this way!

Li Dui understood his problem very well. He had no powerful, well-informed expert to guide him. He was figuring everything out on his own.

As a complete novice, the range of things he could think of and understand was bound to be very narrow.

Even so, although his true self had already slipped away and the chances of the Hula Hoop being exposed were now almost zero, he still didn't want to find a teacher.

It was probably an obsession of sorts. He simply preferred to be free and self-reliant.

Besides, even if he had a Venerable Level teacher, it didn't seem right for a Universe Rank cultivator to ask about Teleportation.

He would just have to keep exploring through practice. His access level was high now, anyway, and he could find some useful information in the archives. That was what Li Dui thought.

Originally, after gaining recognition from the Origin Law of Space, Li Dui had been able to clearly sense spatial fluctuations across a vast area. Moving along those fluctuations had also made him much faster than before.

He had also considered the three great techniques of space: sealing, killing, and teleporting. He was so attuned to sensing spatial fluctuations that he thought the first one he would understand would be either sealing or teleporting.

Vico's words had opened his eyes. It was Teleportation.

Usually, an Immortal who gained recognition from the Law of Space would immediately comprehend one of the three techniques: sealing, killing, or teleporting. Li Dui, however, had probably been too narrow in his understanding of the law. His level of comprehension was high enough, but he still hadn't mastered a technique.

So that was how it worked! Countless flashes of insight flickered through Li Dui's mind.

After flying outside the Xueluo World for more than half a year, the E9-Grade Spaceship slowed and descended, gradually drilling into the cloud layer.

Number 2 leaped out of the cabin and stood in the void. He spread his arms and took a deep breath.

At this point, if he focused his senses in a single direction instead of spreading them everywhere, the farthest spatial fluctuations he could sense lay beyond the Xueluo World.

After comparing Number 2's location with its position relative to the Xueluo World, Li Dui could tell that the farthest spatial fluctuations he could sense were one light-year away.

That was impressive. One light-year was exactly the maximum distance a normal King-level Immortal could teleport.

He had spent more than half a year comprehending the law, consulting the colored light on the "Ring" whenever he came across something he didn't understand.

At last, his inspiration ran dry.

Unfortunately, he still couldn't teleport.

Li Dui didn't force it. This wasn't a matter of his comprehension of the law being insufficient. If his understanding of the Law of Space were lacking, even if his rate of progress were only one-fiftieth of what it had been before, he could still spend time improving it.

The problem now was that he could feel his understanding of the law was sufficient. Teleportation was simply one way of using the Origin Law of Space.

So he had the power, but no way to use it. He might as well keep hunting World Lords. Perhaps one day, while traveling or fighting, it would suddenly click.

Originally, after his true self left, Li Dui had planned to collect enough Xueluo Crystals quickly and then switch to another mission, to see if he could find other treasures that increased his Gene Multiplier.

Now, it seemed he couldn't leave in a hurry. The Xueluo World was surrounded by the Eighteen Cloud Layers, so whatever disturbance he caused inside would go unnoticed by the outside world. He might as well figure out Teleportation here before leaving. With that divine skill, his true self's safety would improve by another major degree.

Li Dui had taken the time to tally Vico World Lord's possessions. The Universe Crystals and items he could bring back and sell came to a little over three Hunyuan Units in total. There were also 126 Xueluo Crystals.

Xueluo Crystals really weren't that rare on the Xueluo Continent. The continent had more than ten million World Lords alone, and the number of Lords was over a hundred times that. Everyone in those groups had fused with at least one Xueluo Crystal.

A Domain Level cultivator lived for no more than a million years. When a city lord died, another Domain Level cultivator who had fused with a Xueluo Crystal would take their place.

Li Dui believed Xueluo Crystals had to be renewable. Otherwise, the Virtual Universe Company would never let the natives waste such a precious resource so freely.

He landed and searched for a city.

After finding one, he caused no trouble, paid the entry fee, and went to a shop to buy a map of the local region.

Once he had the map, he left at once. Li Dui couldn't be bothered to kill Domain Level city lords anymore.

He returned to the cloud layer and traveled at half the speed of light toward the location of a World City marked on the map.

A world region could be as small as a few hundred million kilometers across or as large as over a billion.

At half the speed of light, crossing a distance of a billion kilometers took less than two hours.

Once he found the World City, he followed the usual plan. Number 3 found a place to lie low and provide backup, while Number 2 attacked the World Lord's residence from the air, drawing the target out to fight.

His battles with World Lords were all about adapting to the opponent's moves. He acted stronger against powerful foes and went easier on the weaker ones.

Once he'd had his fill of fighting, Li Dui would use the movement technique he had learned from Vico World Lord and improved himself. He would suddenly flicker to a weak point in his opponent's defenses and finish them with a single slash.

To natives at the World Lord level, this move was no different from actual Teleportation. They had no way to defend against it.

After killing his prey, Li Dui would quickly climb to the Eighteenth Cloud Layer and fly away from the area.

He no longer even used his spaceship. He traveled on his own. Moving long distances quickly along spatial fluctuations also helped him comprehend Teleportation.

After killing a World Lord, Li Dui would fly for at least half a month, traveling at least one or two hundred worlds away before looking for a new target.

Sometimes, once he'd had his fill of flying, he would drift through the ocean of spatial fluctuations, flying for months at a time without knowing how many worlds he had crossed.

Whenever inspiration struck, Li Dui would have Number 2 fly out of the cloud layer and stop beyond the Xueluo World. He would set aside the half of his consciousness used to control the avatar and devote it to studying Teleportation.

Time passed like this, and before he knew it, more than twenty-three years had gone by.

Li Dui stood outside a planet rich in vegetation, accompanied by his Soul Slave Du Ya, Qila, and twenty Star Level Nine slaves.

The planet was called Duhan Star. It had a diameter of 22,600 kilometers, and land made up around 51 percent of its surface area.

This was the place Li Dui had chosen for his secluded cultivation. His Soul Slave Du Ya had bought it at an auction a few years earlier.

The planet belonged to a low-level Universe Country under the Suota Universe Kingdom. The Suota Universe Kingdom bordered the Dark Abyss Universe Kingdom, where the Battle Axe Secret Realm was located.

It was about 100 million light-years from the Battle Axe Secret Realm. A spaceship traveling at twice the speed of light could reach it in about five years.

Li Dui's avatar hid in the World Ring. Du Ya led the others down into a vast estate spanning tens of thousands of square kilometers, where they completed the transfer of ownership with the seller's representative and officials from the low-level Universe Country.

The estate had originally been the residence of the former Star Lord. After Du Ya became the new Star Lord, she had made some renovations.

The natives of Duhan Star were free people. But they were weak, and even the strongest among them were only a few Star Rank Nine cultivators. They couldn't truly own the planet.

Once everything was settled and only their own people remained in the estate, Li Dui's true self emerged from the World Ring.

The Primal Universe's space really was more comfortable. After spending more than twenty years inside the World Ring, Li Dui returned to the real universe and gazed up at the vast starry sky, entranced.
