But these undead felt no fear at all. Though charging forward meant certain death, they did not hesitate in the slightest, as if they bore Zhou Heng a hatred stretching across heaven and earth. They would pay any price to kill him!
These undead possessed the special ability to ignore defenses—or rather, to penetrate most defenses. Even though Zhou Heng was covered in miniature Annihilation Runes formed from blazing radiance, he could not withstand their fearless, frenzied assault forever. Some attacks inevitably passed through the protection of the Annihilation Runes and struck his body directly!
Fortunately, he had another layer of defense: the physique of the dragon race!
The dragon race was one of the four divine beast races with the strongest physiques. Though Zhou Heng's bloodline was still far from the level of the old Azure Dragon, his opponents were only below the Black Hole Realm!
This defense was indeed quite effective—but only quite effective, not absolute!
The undead's attacks could penetrate most defenses. Even the dragon race's physique could not completely block them. Attack after attack passed through his dragon body and still dealt tremendous damage to Zhou Heng.
