Zhou Heng left Great River Academy once more. He used Spiritual Power to alter his appearance, then concealed his aura with the Five Elements Rune before making his way to the largest auction house in Great River City.
Any auction house capable of operating in Great River City naturally needed a powerful backer, much less the largest one. Leaving aside everything else, the eight Star Kings standing in a row as guards at the entrance alone gave it an air of lofty grandeur.
Zhou Heng merely said that he had a treasure to sell and wished to see someone authorized to make decisions for the auction house. Under the suspicious gaze of an attendant, he sat motionless and waited for someone in charge to arrive.
Before long, an old man ambled in. His cultivation was not particularly high—merely that of a Star Thearch. In a place like Great River Academy, that truly did not count for much. But as an appraiser for an auction house, he did not need exceptional strength. Sharp eyes were enough.
"Sir, what is it that you wish to sell?" the old man asked.
Zhou Heng currently looked like a burly man in his thirties. Smiling faintly, he took out a small pouch he had prepared beforehand and set it on the table. Then, with a gentle push, he slid it over to the other man.
The old man smiled as well. Making such a mystery of it—could it really be some sort of treasure? He opened the cloth pouch and poured out a small, dull gray stone. It looked no different from the bits of gravel one could pick up simply by lowering one's head along the roadside.
