Jimmy Butler woke up groggily, only to find Link beside him still watching game footage.
He rubbed his eyes and stretched, then asked in confusion, "Why is it Stephen Curry again?"
Butler and Link were on a plane bound for Memphis. To attend Randolph's wedding, the two had temporarily put their training camp workouts on hold and returned to Memphis for a few days.
Though it was the offseason, Link and Butler's training intensity at camp had been anything but light. Their training loads were several times greater than everyone else's, so the two were actually quite exhausted.

Ever since running into Stephen Curry at the Drew League, Butler had noticed that Link paid Curry a great deal of attention.
Whether in the hotel room or on the plane, whenever he had a spare moment, Link would stare at footage of Curry and the Warriors as though he were obsessed.
Butler could not figure out what exactly Link was watching for. After all, the Warriors had only been an insignificant seventh seed in the West last season. And in the first round of the playoffs, they had been easily eliminated by the Spurs.
And those Spurs, who had eliminated the Warriors, had only managed to take one win off
