On the long street, the old man took a few steps back, seeming to see this prodigy, famed throughout the world, in a whole new light. He exclaimed, "You managed to haggle down the price with me, Half-Immortal Who Calculates Gods and Ghosts! You've got some skill!"

At last, the mysterious old man began to "work." He scrutinized Jiang Wang from head to toe for a long while, looking him over again and again.

Jiang Wang smiled. "You must have looked into me before coming here. Anyone who knows my name could hardly predict that I'd amount to nothing."
"But..."
"But?"
"A dark cloud hangs over your Heavenly Court. Karmic debt drifts across your spiritual platform; your precious aura is dimmed, and your divine radiance conceals danger." The old man mused. "I see that your mother died when you were young, your father when you were still a boy, and before you came of age... almost all your teachers, friends, neighbors, and relatives had perished!"
