A breakthrough to Lord of the Universe draws a direct descent of the Primal Universe Origin, creating a disturbance vast enough to attract the attention of Immortals and other Lords of the Universe. 210

The breakthrough transforms a cultivator’s flesh-and-blood body into an Immortal divine body, merging the soul throughout that divine body. Bai Yuan’s own breakthrough also raised his life-gene level to the hundred-fold Lord of the Universe standard and preceded the construction of a God Kingdom. 210

Authority and Status

• Lords of the Universe possess the ability to reverse time and space to resurrect the dead, though resurrection is limited by the deceased’s time of death and realm. Those below the Immortal Realm may be beyond recovery even for a Lord of the Universe. 148
• Their intervention is difficult to obtain even for powerful lower-realm figures; Bai Yuan states that he was not qualified to meet a Lord of the Universe before his own rise. 148

Lord of the Universe combat power is commonly described in tiers, with divine-body strength, life-gene level, secret techniques, willpower, domains, and treasures all affecting an individual’s placement. 211 212 221

Willpower and Illusions

Willpower can determine a battle even when an opponent possesses superior equipment or a stronger divine body. Bai Yuan used True God-level willpower and an ultimate illusion Secret Technique to suppress Lord Shuqi and later overwhelm Lord of Frost. 211 217

• Illusion techniques can sharply reduce an opponent’s combat effectiveness by attacking their consciousness. 217
