A flicker of puzzlement crossed Jiang Yuechu's eyes.

She had heard Uncle Xun of the Xu Family mention Immortal Gods a few times when she had first arrived in Cloud Dream Haven.

Back then, though, she had taken it for nothing more than a legendary tale and paid it no mind.

But from True Lord Ling Han's meaning now, had Immortal Gods really once existed in Cloud Dream Haven?

Seeing Jiang Yuechu's interest, Deacon Ling Han stopped keeping her in suspense and quickly turned to her. "There are too many people around here, and this isn't the place to talk. If you don't mind, young friend Jiang, why don't we move somewhere else and have a chat?"

Jiang Yuechu gave a slight nod and followed him toward the rear.

The two moved to a quiet pavilion behind the cliff.

Only then did he slowly begin. "This is your first time at my Dao Sect, young friend Jiang. I imagine you know only one side of the story when it comes to the balance of power in Cloud Dream."

He paused, his expression turning solemn.

"Whether it's the Cloud Dream Palace or our Nine Great Dao Sects, the supreme arts and profound spirit techniques practiced within our sects were not created by later generations... They were passed down from the Immortal Gods of the Primordial Era."

Jiang Yuechu's hand paused slightly as she lifted her teacup.

She didn't interrupt, only watching him quietly.

True Lord Ling Han sighed and continued. "In the Primordial Era, the Immortal Gods descended and reshaped this world, but they did not remain here for long.
